Ever go on a holiday where something goes wrong, or happends when you least want it to, or anything like that?

Over the last 3 of 4 years I've noticed every time I go on a holiday something bad happends.

Last year my uncle was taken to hospital and my 7-month pregnant aunty had to drive along the great ocean road at 12am.

This year, I was up at Mount Martha for 8 days (Just got back tonight, LOVED it, even though it was only an hour and a half from home ), and one day before heading to the beach, we noticed some smoke... Then some more smoke, 5 minutes later a LOT more smoke and we found out that a bush fire had just started..... about 400m from the house =| We packed up the cars and headed down to the beach for a couple hours and watched as the waterbombers went back and forth. Everything was ok and the fire was put out in a couple of hours, CFA stayed the night to make sure everything was ok. Was more exciting than scary, but still, having to pack and unpack 4 cars... Not so exciting

I'm sure there are plenty of you who can top that, but I might be going away again before uni starts, so surely I'll hvae another story to tell

not so much me not wanting it to happen but it just happened... first i ran into a pole leaving me with a cut head, then a guy jumps in a pool lands on my head, i had a headache for 3 days lol

Well, our family holidays usually have something go wrong. We used to go up to charlotte pass for a week every year (fanatical cross country skiers) and usually something would go wrong.

four or five years ago my nanna died while we were there so we had to drive back down to cootamundra for the funeral and then back again, that was pretty bad for all involved.

A year or two afterwards when we went there was a big power outage for a few days. I had a great time skiing up the downhill slopes and then trying to pull off smartarse moves on the way down. Had half a mountain all to myself. There were a few technical problems to be overcome at the place we were staying as well, those were fun too.

Last year we went again and my mum got an bad infection from a dodgy tooth and had to go home early.

Those are the three things that really come to mind, but our holidays usually stuff up in one way or another. We didn't go this year and whadda ya know, no-one we know died, got badly ill or blew up the village. Coincidence? I think not.
