MONEY!!! and HAPPINESS!! got to have a good mix of both. with out it you will hit a rutt and never get out. Get a load buy the car and enjoy it now while continuing to work hard to pay if off. Plaus gives you a good credit rating

Good advice Fabz, sooner or later in your life you'll more than likely borrow a bit of dosh to buy a house or something so you might as well have the credit rating and the car!

If you need to work long hours to buy a VY then get a cheaper car. But hey you can swap with me if you want. I've just bought a block of land and am now in the hock to the tune of $350,000. Over $500 per week in repayments. Want to pay that instead?

    Cool lol

    Hey Bravotwozero,

Na i think i will pass on that for now but i will surely consider gettin a block of land some day when i get myself someone to share it with.

$500 a week in repayments are a little steep atm, i am only saving like $400 a week for me VY atm.

so maybe somewhere down in the future then yes i would, but not now lol

Thanks for abit reassurance that i am not that bad off considering.

I think i will just get through the saving of my new VY and relax abit afterwards and enjoy.

I will swap repayments if you like We are currently paying in the tune of $1200 a week on 3 mortgages. Rent on 2 properties covers around 40% of that each week.

For anyone that is thinking of buying a new car...buy a house instead, spending 30-40k on a car is a waste until you own land, once you own, borrow against the property or combine it in. Property is what will setup your life.

mate this is my advice. Take a vy a vz a vx and a vt for a drive. Drive v8's and v6's then think long and hard about the pros and cons of all. add up the total cost; fuel tyres rego and insurance then think is it worth it or should you do somethimg else with the money. the biggest think i regret is not working hard when i was young and not thinking smart. with all the cards layed out in front of you can make the best decision
