Most of yesterday I would preferred to have not happened.
Had an 'incident' @ Work which has been playing on my mind;
I was tripped when going to a meeting, just getting to a seat to Put my @553 on, [Arsse for the refined ;-) ]
not sure if an accident or on purpose..................well, cannot prove it; BUT!!!
and cannot be sure of by whom;
landed smack bang on my knees; now I am hobbling...No!! Not Drunk :-P
but that is far from the worst of it :-(
On the way home from Warwick,
I chose to go via Nobby and Pittsworth,
might have been a Bad choice.
Got a flat tyre in Pittsworth. Dratts!!!
My first flat in the Statey.
The 'Locals' Pittsworth boys were out on the main street doing DoughNuts and creating clouds of Smoke. I mean CLOUDS of it.
OK!
Change the Flat tyre, leave nothing behind and head off.
Go out past the dump,
Stop Sign,
and on to the Highway.
Get to the bottom of the hill and Two cars pass me fairly quickly.
Hmmm. No problem, I'm doing 105, that's fine by me.
I'll get home soon enough, me thinks, early night..... Oh! Yea!!
and it is only 09:40pm or so.
I was trying to work out their speed just for some Mental stimulation....He was about a little over 2 Kilometres in front of me in just under 10 Minutes
Me thinks he was doing about 120+?????
Get to the HALL's poultry farm and there is a Railway Gang working on the
Tracks ...
Hmmm??? Late and the weekend...
Poor Buggers,
working into the Weekend..........................................* *******s!!
Get a little further on and someone is parked on the Inbound side of the
road with their Warning Lights flashing.
Slow Down.,
WHOOPS!!!!!!!!!!
What on Earth was that?????????????????????
Sssssssssssssssssssssssssssss
Oh Ouhh!!!
Shees!!!!![]()
Another!!!!!!!!! flat tyre. 2 in One night.
Scream, Whinge, Bitch [Sorry Cat] Sulk....nah;
just Very Peeved; VERY VERY!!!![]()
I drove; albeit slowly over and through the wreckage of a Toyota,
the one which had passed me earlier.
I stopped and spoke to a Lass, she was from the other car which passed me,
and she was phoning the Police/Ambulance/Fireys. [Yes, they do a GOOD Job]
What had happened is that the 1st car had driven onto the wrong side of the
road and under the front of a Semi-Trailer.
This had demolished the car taking the roof off, and Disassembling most the rest of the car;
taken out the FRONT WHEELS of the truck!!!!!!
The truck continued on,
further up the road, off to the side and across the Railway line,
it ended up 'parked' where I thought it was a Railway Gang.
I Limped home and took the 'Purple Plum' a 1982 Mazda 626 back,
HEY!!
It has very good Spot LIGHTS ;-P
and it goes;
that's about all :-)
Went back to the scene to give assistance in waving the traffic down with a Lass, using torches and a Red Beacon Thingy.............
Boy!!
That is taking ones life into their own hands, many [READ Most] do NOT slow down what-so-ever.
But!! Arh HUH!! They might also get flat tyres,
Just like what I did................................Grrrrrrrr!!!!!! ! :-(( Heh! Heh!! Heh!!!
It ended up that the wrecked car was strewn about 300 Metres along the road.
Bits and pieces of the car all over the place.
The engine was intact, just that there was nothing attached to it,
most everything had been worn off,
or broken off of it.
The Sump was Concaved
The Radiator and Oil cooler were by them selves. Twisted
Bits and pieces EVERY WHERE!!
The Driver..............................![]()
The Lass who stopped,
and of course I now realise I know from when she worked for MPA, for a while,
at the Power Station,
had hit the engine block with out realising it.
She also had a flat tyre,
Damage the Door and behind the front [flat] tyre and Engine oil all along the side of her new car.
Her Daughter was going into shock, so we got her to sit, or lay down,
but she was also to hyped up.
The Husband/Father came out later and picked them up.
.......that was her BRAND new Car....Ouch!!
Hope those other So-and-Sos who wouldn't slow got flats as well.
So!
Didn't sleep all that well, and cannot sleep in.....yet!
I think I'll cancel to-day and go to bed with a Hot water bottle,
seems all I'm good for lately.
Grumph!
But, as one of the others helping said
[She lives about 100Metres away from where the Accident happened]
At least we are alive to be Peeved Off.
Ivan,
Still Alive, and maybe feeling a little less sorry for himself.
