Default Never let your parents drive your car..

I just let my pop reverse my car out the drive and he drove it straight into the trailer and cracked my front bar ffs. Cracked through the bottom blue section...

I have to take it down to get a new sideskirt fitted at ASV in two weeks so hopefully they can repair it back to new when its down there

@VN2NV......What can I say, other than how long did it take you to remove your foot from your grand'pas backside.

Dad came home in a flat bed truck one lunch time and mum commented who new it looked. Mum promptly reversed into it with the Valiant wagon going back to work. Smashed the side rear window and cut a big hole in the side of the car.

Lucky dad is a panel beater and could fix it up.

When I got my Clubsport a few weeks ago, first place we went was to the in-laws to show it off. Figured I'd better let Father-In-Law take it for a spin (140 over the Young Street bridge - naughty naughty!) and as he drove it out of his driveway, SCRAPE on the bottom of the front spoiler on the kerb. Bugger. Then 2 days later we took it down to Victor to show my parents. My dad ("The Vicar") drove it out of his driveway, and SCRAPE on the bottom of the spoiler AGAIN!!!! Bloody dads!

well around town my car isnt an issue, my dad and i both own VS's though his is an acclaim but when we left together in my car for a week up north at 3AM he was drivign along and didnt realise we were coming up to a roundabout, BANG scrape CRASH jumped the triangluar divider, put her bewteen a signpost and a streelight, missed em both, bailed off the kerb, went around the round about like nothing happened.

i was not happy at all but strangely, no damage at all. thank god for stock height suspension eh?

What i do find amusing is that my parents don't trust me with the VZ, but i drive it a lot more civilised than they do. :P *laughs*

When i first got my VN, i spent a few weeks hand-sanding all the paint off my front bar, back, bar and side skirts.
When it was ready to be sprayed, I gave my dad a bit of cash and let him drive it down to the paint shop to buy a tin of paint, so i could spray it later that week at home.
As he was reversing out of the store, he plowed it into a pine bollard, about 2 feet high.. snapped the back kit in half, and bent the entire boot in about 30cm..
'twas ok in the end coz dad felt bad and he ended up paying for it. And i got a mate (panel beater) to do the work so we got a good deal..
haha poor dad was only trying to help out

**** that man, my dad hit a gutter and stuffed his power steering rack over xmas when i was on holiday, got the message AFTER i rang my brother, found out dad was driving my car, had nightmares all over the holidays, he is one hell of an erratic driver, was scared my car would end up stuffed like his ford.

Yeah true, got the car back yesterday all nice and perfect again. $875 for front bar repair, rear bar repaint (blue section) and sideskirt which they gave me $100 off for.

This problem is easily fixed... I accidently stumbled upon a solution

My car is insured ONLY if I'm driving and my dad knows that full well and doesnt even want to move it around the corner. (Its fun because he's car is still insured even if I drive )

Only thing is, if you parents dont care about that and drive it anyway, your then uninsured

    But wait... There's more!!

    But that's not all!!!

we had a grass kahna on the weekend (i think thats the way its spelt) - dad bent his gaurd gng sideways in his hq so i let him borrow my ute - damn he kaned the crap outa it and almost smashed my front kit to peices on the bump that did his hq, hahha kinda scary watching your vehicle gng sideways at 60km towards a fence with your dad and gf both laughing their heads off
