Default AUSTRALIA POST ,6 weeks Melb to Syd your horror stories.

Before last Xmas I purchased a Clubsport lower airbox off eBay; http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI....MEWN:IT&ih=020
:and the seller posted it (insured)to me from Glenelg, Melbourne on the 20th Dec 2006 to Bondi, Sydney and I just received it (delivered) Monday 6th Feb 2007 . We both put in lost item forms and last week Auspost said there was no article found and the seller was going to claim the insurance this week when it appeared as though everything was normal.
Has anybody had similar stories about Australia Post.
I also bought a couple of HSV badges from an internet supplier and they never turned up and I've bought from him before so I do believe AusPost lost them.

    Cheers Col

I heard there has been some massive problems with Aus post since a bit before Christmas. A friend of my partner, Rebecca, sent her a birthday present via aus post (her birthday was 30th of Dec and is was posted with plenty of time to get here) and it only arrived a couple of days ago...

well I bought a LSD back in october, it still hasn't arrived yet, sent through aus ppost. I've called the guy and he said he did post it, but not registered or insured (it costs an extra $4 to insure it) so I'm out of pocket $400 and still have a open centre. bought some injectors off ebay about november '05 and they haven't turned up yet either, but i got refunded for them

bought an item and got a tracking number. didnt get the thing so checked the tracking number and it said item location Melbourne. 6 weeks later it was still in melbourne according to the tracking number then i went to see the post office about it and he said it had been there about 5 weeks. It seems that they fogot to give me a card letting me know it was there.

yea on the news the other week i think a nsw? base postal worker stole something like 20,000 items (dont quote me on that) it was a **** load but
over 3 years, so if ur been missing something, or sent something it could be with him

or any other dodgy posty just like him!

    also there's parcel nabbers.
some people get almost as excited over other people's parcels as the recipient themselves, had it happen to me a few times.
