every car i have ever owned has had a name ( and not all profanitys either )
my first car (vc 202 ) " the beast " sounded beasty for a 202
second car ( vpII exec ) " bluey " it was metallic blue
third ( vn clubsport ) " vanessa " first v8
fourth ( ke55 corolla ) " christina " lot like the movie christine other than it doesn't try to kill me just a pain in the ass
fifth ( vc sle 253 ) " victor " second v8

whats your cars name and the reasons behind it?

The 3 cars we have are called

Sherps : Subaru Sherpa
Chevy: Holden Nova
Peanut: VL Commodore.

I dont know why we call the commodore peanut, but it has stuck.

My second car, the VN, is red, so following the tradition of Muppet names it's named Elmo.

The VN Wagon over the 18 years I've owned it has been called several names:
1st 'The Rocket' - lived in woomera and it was heaps fast on the open road. My dad in law called it that after I took him for burn down the road for a bit. He lost 3 shades of his sun tan.

2nd 'The Wagon' as it was just a work horse and nothing special - just a Holden.

3rd 'The Green One' so as to get the correct ket to start it and not confuse it with the (blue) sedan.

Holden Camira. wasn't worthy of a name and any name given would demean any girl who had that name.

My VX is named "nikki"

dunno, don't ask, but when i got her thats the name that came to me..

Now, my folks, my mates, my MECHANIC, my gf and her folks all refer to her as "Nikki" so its kinda stuck!

My first Car, a HG Kingswood, had been resprayed in a flat brown - so it looked like a brown cow and, as anyone has driven one would know, handled like a cow so i named her "Bessie the Brown Cow".
My second car was a 250 Merc, bought from a little old lady who only drove it to church on sundays, yeah right, the timing chain let go only months after i had bought it, so i named her the 'Bitch"; the car that is not the little old lady.
My third car was a Jeep Wrangler, it went anywhere i wanted her to go, and i named her the "Beast".
My fourth car was a black VY SV8, and keeping with the 'B' naming theme i called her 'Black Beauty'.
unfortunately I lost her in a storm when the basement carpark was flooded.

Thank goodness for insurance, she was only 9 months old so i got a brand new in SV8, but upgraded to a Series II VY SV8 - and being less than original i named her 'Black Beauty II'.

bulma was the nearest name in my vocabulary that i could think of, wasnt thinking of DBZ when i chose it though i did realise that is where i got the name
