Found these....
http://www.motorway-tyres.com.au/innovation/
Seem they will be releasing them soon. few questions I have....
Will they be legal for road use? - I think not lol, plus what 'legal' reason would you have for having them on the road, they would be no different to normal tyres I would imagine, except when doing burnouts lol
The cost.... will they be comparitive to use for burnout comps, or just waaayyyy too exxy to warrant using them at all. Might only be used by 'burnout demos' as such??![]()
I watched a vid of red so long ago.... but IMO BLUE 4 THE WIN!!!! lol![]()

So would you get these? or would you get them if they werent too expensive? or not at all? Or hell yeah who cares about cost?? lol
Yeah a couple cars at summernats had them in the burnout comp, At first i thought i was just too drunk and seeing things. But it realy was a coloured burnout haha. It looked awsome. 1st time ive seen them. And im pretty sure they still left black marks??? But that being said. i was drunk and wasnt paying much attention at the burnouts. More attention on miss summernats and other babes flashin
Australia. Love it or leave it
i'd get some for shtis and giggles, lol be funny to see someone try and deny doing a burnout....but your the only one getting around with green tires...and the marks on the road are green!![]()
.
i wouldn't so much use them for daily driving only for fun.![]()
top gear had a section on one of there shows with them, different but really expencive
They don't leave colours marks. They are like normal black tyres, but with a small colour put thru the compound (the way it was described was like a thin strip put thru one of the tread lines)
Thats what makes them coloured.
I havn't seen them personally besides the vid, so i couldn't say if the tread is visibly different, but from the sides, there black still, and your marks will still be black.
I'm ordering some green ones as soon as my tyre guy can get em.....

you'd be able to see a skidding/sliding car from a mile away.plus what 'legal' reason would you have for having them on the road
They had a thing on Triple M (Discussing if they should be banned) this morning about it. A guy that owns or runs a tyre place at reynella run up, he said that they cost between $700-$900 each and they will only fit them to racing wheels or if they fit them to normal wheels they won't do it with them on the car. You have to give them the wheels off the car otherwise they won't fit them and no they are not legal.
I watched a commie (I think) at the summernats with them on and were leaving fairly good blue lines on the road. My cuz got some for his pursuit ute for next year blue ute with blue smoke it should look great
