Well at different workplaces it would vary. But I work at Holdens and im pretty much a maintenance fitter and fix mechanical problems with machinery, robots and things that produce the cars. I also rebuild parts and do alot of welding and a bit of machining (lathes, mills). But as I said some places a macahnical fitter would do different things but that is just general.
