I think they lost so the Odds are more in favour of the kiwis, Then all the aussies will back themselves next game and will win. Thats what i told my kiwi mate anyway haha.

Yeah aussies lost after kiwis made 340 to win.

Problem australia have is a lack of bowling talent. Tait is fast, but has no true direction. In domestic he gets wickets because of his pace. International players love his all over the shop bowling. Johnson isn't much better and mcgrath is just too slow and old

Until Aussies get a solid bowling attack, they will keep losing. Stuart Clark should be in this squad without a doubt.

gound was 2 small of corse 340 wasnt goin 2 b enough 4 ne side 2 b totally secure but the aussies just didnt know how 2 bowl 2 such a small field they certainly didnt need a 155+ bowler 4 that reason lol and the spinners well they just bowled like crabs lol

Thats not what the England players said. They hated facing him apparently. But in saying this yes he did try and bowl too fast and lost his accuracy and bowled s**t. Still he has shown he does this in Domestic cricket too but then he can come out and tear the batsmen apart.

lack of talent? hahaha....nah, just lack of experience mate. how many full internationals have johnson, tait, watson, haddin and white all played together? a handful at the most...

you take the core, punter, gilly, symo and lee out of the side and its going to leave you flat...it doesnt matter what anyone says, you remove your core group of experience youre going to struggle to find your feet... as the guidence and ability to change tactics is lowered considerably...

clark should NOT be in the squad... hes a metronome and bowls the same thing over and over and in oneday cricket you cant afford to do that... you may as well say "bring in macgill for the onedayers" sure hell take a wicket or two but hell get spanked in the process...

    Hayden.
    Gilly (Keeper).
    Punter (Capt).
    Clarke.
    White/Watson.
    Hussey.
    Lee.
    Bichel.
    Hogg.
    MacGill.
    Johnson/Clark.

That is the team I'd have without Symonds available atm. We simply need some experience, if Mc Grath is up to it, have him in place of Johnson/Clark, but I'd have Bichel and Lee as my two key strike bowlers. I can't see why Bichel was dropped in the first place, he is damn fantastic, and MacGill should be there to provide some quality leg spin and some experience in the bowling department.

Among those players, I'd go about rotating White, Watson, Hogg and Johnson/Clark. As soon as Simmo is available tho, I'd find a place for him quick-smart.

Mate gilly is on his way out should not even be playing international cricket he is useless now

Symonds is injured so of course he is going to be out

World cup is going across the tasmain this year aswell

Damn right, he is one of the handiest bowlers we have around, I'd say compared to his peers, he would one of the 'better' batting records to boot, able to hold the crease for a while and still able to play good strokes and make runs. Important when lower order 'resistance' is required. He is underrated and has been unfairly ignored by selectors even tho year after year he has played excellent domestic cricket.

That is why you throw in some experience that has played some cricket with remaining players, it sustains some 'gel' within the team..

if you could actually read in context (....wide open for abuse there but wont, coz thats just harsh) and paid attention to what i had said...

typical kiwis saying were making excuses, yet youse dont say anytihng about cricket til youse win, at least we try figure out a reason for a form slump. its funny, we win and were sore winners; arrogant and aggresive. but we lose, were sore loser, making up excuses... its a shame that other countries dont get to experience the success of the aussie cricket side then they wouldnt have to resort to making the excuse of us being arrogant and bullyish when youse lose and when you win you just say were sore losers... nothing about your side or the fact the played well...

im not denying the fact that symo is injured so is out anyway or the fact that youse have played better cricket this week... that ross taylor kid is a gun...

all i said was that we dont have our full strength side in and if you take out your core group (opening bowler, keeper/batsman, no.3 bat(who just so happens to be the best bat in the world) and worlds best one-day all-rounder) from ANY team, your going to struggle...
