WTF is a GEN2 5.7?!? lol
CLEARLY thats a 5.0litre engine out of i would guess a VS Clubby 215i!
5.7 litre stroker engine from HSV
1995 Manual HSV Clubsport
Wade Cam :: 9.2:1 CR :: Pacemaker headers :: Twin 2.5" Exhaust :: VT Brakes
1991 Supercharged VN Berlina
9 PSI SC14 Intercooled :: Genie headers :: Twin cats :: HM Twin 2.25 exhaust :: 3.45:1 LSD
"....SHE KICKS WITH HIGH POWERED 5.7LT GEN2 HSV( 350 STROKER CHEVY) WITH T700 TRANSMISSION TO MATCH . (with inbuilt rocer rollers producing200+ hp on the wheels...."
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha............inbuilt rocer rollers......that's gold. literally.
note on the title and also under specs it states that it is a 3.0L 6cyl
We got rep back, yaaay!
That price is a bit extreme on a car that old and k's on it.
haha its nice but if i was going to spend that sort of money id get a stroker engine to brag about like comeracings 355, imagine what i could do to the vn with 30,000*drool*
did people miss my first post. it probably is a 5.7. the 5.7 litre holden engine released by HSV
1995 Manual HSV Clubsport

The Gen 1 was the original Holden V8, Gen 2 the EFI 5 lt which was stroked to 5.7 for the HSV like Stocky says and then the Gen 3 5.7lt and now the Gen 4 6lt. Although nobody really called them generation engines until the Gen 3.
HAHAHAHA WOO WOO! .35ltr FTW! hahaha i think ill take the 350ci over it anyday *rolls eyes*
haha yeah i saw your post, i was just saying that by what ive heard the holden strokers of the 304's wernt that great when compared to aftermarket.... so yeah i still wouldnt mind that but![]()
What's all this gen crap? There wasn't ever a gen 1 or 2 here. And holden's 5.0 sure as hell has never been called a gen anything. This whole gen thing started with the original LS1. Its just a bit of seppo bullsh*t!
And while I'm at it, what's this crap with calling dunnydoors "E" series? Trying to keep up with the Krauts now are we?
The gen 3 started with the LS1 because it is the 3rd generation Holden V8 to be fitted in Commodores. The 1st two were gen 1 and 2 although they were never referred to as that.
Can you not read.....V8 fitted to a Commodore. 308 Gen 1, 5lt EFI Gen 2, 5.7lt Gen 3, 6lt Gen 4. This is where the generation reference came from. I never said they were all called that.
I'm pretty sure everyone's aware that the LS1 is a Chevrolet engine. I think he's referring to the generations of V8 motors used in Holdens.
EDIT: haha, beaten to it! just...

The motor isn't out of a VS any way. Its the symbol on the cover which gives that away!
if the gen thing refers all holdens v8 then what bout the 307 in the hk and the 253 aswell as the chevy 350 in the old kingswoods,
i though the gen mark ment the generation of Chevy engines
Actually if could be from a VS GTS or a GTS-R or a VR Senator or VR GTS...
The moral of the story being...
The guy should of said:
It has a factory v8 STROKER 5.7 Engine...
Instead of all this "gen2" crap... you google gen2 stroker even and you won't find any info on it...
Just a question though.... if its a holden HSV strocker its not a chevy right?!? THe GENIII is the first chev engine holden used..
So either way, that guys talkin abit of ****...right?
i think they mean injected motors with the 1 2 and 3rd generation motors... that would make sense because there has only been 3 injected v8's in the commos
Going where no late model stato/caprice has gone before.... GAME ON!!
gen 1 was the cast head 350 used in 1990's chevrolet
gen2 & 2.5 was the alloy head engine commonly referred to as the LT1 in 1996 onwards chev.
Holden has never used any of these engines
