chrome paint

hey guys, i am looking at buying some chrome spray paint for the mirrors, handles and garnish for the vs, to add to the classy look
does anyone know:
1. how much this stuff is worth for just a regular spray tin?
2. where i might get a can in country sa?
3. what the quality is like? as in, is it a glossy finish, or is it matte, gritty type and does it look similar to real chrome, or is it tacky and not worth it.

if anyone has used this pls post pics up, any advice would be great as well

don't bother, it comes up nothing like chrome and looks tacky and cheap as!

yeh i agree, doesn look all that good.
also, u can buy gloss and matte paint. it varies in paint type.
you can probably get it from any auto store

ok, the 2 i have tried, are vht chrome look paint, note the "look", its nothing liek chrome, a shiney silver, thats it.

and k&h chrome paint. i had a customer ask to see a sample of this, so i grabbed a white painted paint lid from behind paint counter, took it out the back and sprayed one quick coat onto it, instantly, i was wondering if i had it the right side up(underside was bare metal), its still not chrome, but looked pretty damn good.

if you're after a true chrome, go get the mirrors chrome dipped or something, im yet to see a chrome paint that really works.

dont try gold chrome either, my mate did that toi his lancer and after a few weeks it looked like yellow clay

I have to disagree with people here sorry guys. I have used Chrome paint put out by a company called Alsa Corp they also do shadow chrome. It looks nearly exactly like chrome. I have used it with a spray gun but they also sell pressure pack versions.

the merc is a calender. So there is 12 images floating around. Looks cool. waaaaayyyyyy heavy thou..... & as far as I can remember it was never driven? Trailered to all locations.

Get an air brushing kit & get some Alsa corp paint.. That's what the BMW/Mercede's etc chrome pictures are. There alsa corp chrome.

uh hey guys, i no it's a bit old, but a quick update
lol sorry but the pressure back paint does not work too well on plastic. marks very easily and reacted with the clear coat i put on it. lucky mi mate is doin it for me with proper spray paint
