Default No key to my lock nuts, solutions?

Bought my vx 3 weeks ago, when I went to change break pads found that the key for the locknuts is not in the car.
I called Holden and bob jane to ask for a solution. They both said I'd have to drop it in and pay for however long it takes (could be up to 4 hours for them to bash them off).
I dont want to put my car in for them to turn around and say it took 5 hour and charge me $600.
Anyone had this problem?

Cheers,
Yeah thats what I thought and I asked him but he said they would have to force it off.
Would locknuts come with the wheels or could they have come stock?

I got mine off at the local tyre place. They just got a socket a size bigger a smashed it on. No damage to the rim and only cost me $45.

I was about to try that but dont want to make it even harder to get the lock nut off.
I mite try the tyre places around me see if they will try find a key that comes close to fit, or a cheap solution
If im looking at bloody $200+ I think I'll attempt it myself.
Sucks cause I really gotta change my pads soon, got a bitta squeak.

A socket is the easiest way, you hammer it on 'firmly' so that it can be removed from the locknut afterwards. Shouldn't take four hours, less than 30 minutes it usually about it.

really depends, if the are geniune holden 15" wheels they generally dont, 16" maybe it depends on the age of the mag, 17" and above have them.

if you get other ( non-holden ) they generally all do have locknuts no matter what size

Find a socket the size larger and knock it on..... If your organised at removing lock nuts, you can buy a tool called "Lock Nut Off" which removes all lock nuts... look for it on google I belive the last set I bought cost $90 or something

WAIT, try welding a bit of metal onto it and put a hollow piece of metal pipe to take it off.

if the locking nuts are from repco or something (go have a look at the styles they sell there) and yours is there the key will be there too just find the pack with your pattern. theres usually only about 10-15 different keys for a brand of locking nuts i think. theres only 10 different keys for official ford locking nuts. your gonna end up with 2 sets of locking nuts but hey cant hurt to keep spares or have 2 sets on if they are nice wheels.

if your close to Rocklea come down to Beaurepairs and I will do it for free on the spot

or you can leave your car out on the street and put your car on some bricks I bet you your lock nuts will be gone and your wheels lol
