if it's in real schmic condition i'd go for 5500, average cond i'd say 5000, **** nic then 2500. the el's went pretty hard(thats if the trans still works), i got around in mums 97 el wagon for a while...lol some good times.

Anything is only worth as much as someone else is prepared to pay. If you are in no hurry to sell, ask top dollar. Over here it wouldn't go for much over 4k.

well, if it's being given to you with nothing in return, then selling it for any dollar value will be a profit. but in saying that, it's only worth what someone is willing to pay. you could sell it tomorrow for under 2k, or wait a while for someone with money and get 5

i had this old drunk try and sell me a 1996 GHIA falcon for 5000$ in absolute **** condition, he was off his head. tinny doors, mirrors falling off, tint stuffed, car vibrating to the max...
i wouldn't expect more than 4 really???, people get too greedy over car prices.

just go for 5k man you will get it, just get it a month. also you'll be able to barder a few hundred and even might end up with 4600 which is still a good score.

if redbook value is 4200, then put up the price of 4200, remember in a private sale you wont as much as private red book value. in other words, be prepared to settle for 3.5k or even 3k it's like that with most cars now days.

you can try doing it at any price, but whether you get it or not is another thing. i guess just try a price and if it doesnt sell then bring it down. thats about it i guess, id go with what garth said and probably cheaper then redbook.

btw people bagging it, come on, there not bad cars. dont hate something because of its manifacturer(spelling?)...... overall there pretty nice cars, goodluck with the sale and hope it works for you whether you keep it or get rid of it

Well if you get it, and are really intent on selling, one like that with such low kms should (if it's the luxury model, not just the falcon) should get 3500 easy.

Used to see them go for 7500 all the time. But lately, they're a little cheaper.
