Replaced mine myself about a month ago. Kit cost $61 retail from the supplier but my dad gets cost price being a mechanic and good client of their's, picked it up for $30 and did the conversion myself.
Fairly easy swap if you can be bothered doing it yourself. Jack up one side, take the wheel off and chock the car up on some bricks or timber. Then do the same on the other side, just be careful that your car doesn't fall off the bricks/timber when jacking it up. Then take both links out, start with the one that is broken, I'm assuming the bushes will already be broken so that will be the easiest to get out first. With that one out it should be a breeze getting the second one out. Then put your new ones in, should be easy with the swing arm moving freely, just leave the first one in loosely then come back to it to tighten it up when they're both in. Wheels go back on and your done.
Up to you though, you could do it that way to save some cash, or get the mechanic to do it to save some hassles.
I did it myself because I had use of my dad's hoist, was very easy.

$20 sounds like a good buy... sure they're good quality though? The kit I used was actually an upgrade conversion kit, because the stock pins were too thin and weak... apparently a very common problem from them to break through the bushes.
