    Default bad supervisors/boss

    hey,i just had to get home and make this thread and get it off my chest.some of the things ill say u might think is bull**** but it did/does happen at my place of employ.Anyway i work at a national marketing firm and am a marketing sales officer,i work under this woman who has been the company supervisor since company opened.Every day she makes it her mission to find something to bitch about to the head honcho.we have 40 employees and over half of them pay this woman on the side with cash so they can keep working(we have general packers)out the back.this and unreservadly kiss her ass,if ur not in this group then shell let you go the very first chance she gets-usually when weve finished a contract.for ten yrs she has abused slapped,shouted at,talked down at me and others to the point were some of us have actually thought of quitting and starting over but fk her! at our xmas dinners we usually go to a club for the night and they basically line up to put money into her machine for her to play,u dont and ur on her **** list,hence why im on it.the boss knows everything shes doing yet lets her stay because shes good at her job!! lots of the workers have worked here for over 4-5yrs and still havnt been offered a ft-perm position,hence she gets to keep her hold over them cause its harder to fire someone whos permnt.i thought ther was a law wer if u work fulltime for 12months u have to b offerd a perm position.is this true?sori for long post but shes making me homicidal!feel like going all columbine on her!!(joke) anyone else have a f'd up employer?share the pain with me.pleeeease!

    I'd be talking to a solicitor who specialises in this type of stuff, also try to find other employees that share your view (but be very discreet with this).

    If you can threaten the company with legal action, and have a group of people behind you willing to tell all, then the big boss wont have any choice but to remove her.

    You never know, maybe there is more than one person willing to turn on her, and then is going to find herself out on her ass.

    You must be a pussy if you are still there and putting up with her crap. Just tell her to stick her job and find something else. I wouldn't even list that company on your resume unless you could back up the story with proof when your prospective employer wants to contact them.

    be very careful how u go about this if ur in a union talk to ur deliget about the mater if u approach them about that there more then likely to puting people off for a few weeks they may or may not hire them again thats what appened to a some casual emplyees were i work the union approached the company and said hey you have got casual emplyees working out here for 2 years or more there oblesly not filling in for a tempery position y havnt they been offered a perminate job and the company turned around and put off all the people who hav been casuals who hav been continulesly working for them for longer the 6months some got re employed a month later as a casual again some didnt and its not going to get any better with howards IR laws either

    my old boss was a pretty bad one,
    i only got $7.57ph ( meant to be $10.85 )
    i was meant to have a day off a week ( had 2 in the 1 1/2 years there )
    i had my index and middle fingers trapped under a car for a few seconds, blood pissing out he took one look and said they aint broken wait until the nerves calm down and start wheel aligning.

    i wanna kick his ass one day

    Trust me guys im not a PUSSY! I just happen to really like this job and all the colleagues i work with,its just her thats the problem.I just dont wanna give her the satisfaction of knowing she won and got rid of me with her antics.and yes me and another few ppl have talked about all standing up together and make it a u leave or we do thing but its not as simple as that because alot of these ppl are middle aged,have familys,maybe not many other skills etc and they just dont wanna risk it.as someone said earlier if we take this fight up to them and an investigation starts im sure most if not all who said anything will definatly not get a return bak call frm the boss simply because shes(boss)stubborn and culdnt care less about the ppl who have been dedicated to this job for years,and just go out and get new fresh ppl to work then shell have another few yrs with them and the cycle just kps goin round.i have most def thought about calling today tonite etc and if things kp going the way they are i just might.the thing is other than this dog the pays good,workmates are good and its close to home,all things that make it hard to startover again.the dog reckons shes gonna retire in a yr or so,so il c if we can all hang in till then.u guys have really said some worthwile comments and ive taken it onboard.and theres only one person above her so i cant go to anyone else beside maybe the organisations ppl mentioned.and i do have alot of ppl who cant take her **** anymore,like 90pc of the ppl workin here,but as i said some are just to scared to test themselves.ive always said to em if we all amke a stand together they must have no other choice but to fk her off,its like evr1 has just swallowd ther pride and given in.this is actually the first time ive talkd about this with ppl outside of work so thanks for ur comments.ps:I ALWAYS check the job scene to see if i can get out this ****hole just havnt had any luck yet.

    Go to your Consumer and Employment Department representative and make a complaint. It will have to be followed up and all present and recent previous employees will be interviewed. It may mean she will have 'sensitivity training' but it may also lead to her quitting. As far as her superiors are concerned, I'm sure they would rather lose one unpopular person than 5 or 6 other employees.
