if you don't pay when they deliver you don't get it...(simple explaination)

You normally need to go to the post office and hand over some cash to get the goods.....

ok... you'll get a little red card in your letterbox, that little red card says you have goods to pickup from your post office, when you get to the post office you hand that little red card to the person behind the counter, the person then goes an retrieves that item you ordered and brings it to the counter and say's ok it will cost this much, then you dip into your wallet and pay the nice person and they will give you the package.

they could also send it by courier or truck depending on what it is.

it still means when it arrives you have to pay for it to receive it

that's why COD stands for cash on delivery

lol i actually have a special brick seriously it's from the XXXX brewery in brisbane, few years ago they tore some part of it down and you could buy a genuine xxxx brick lol ($5 iirc), also had it signed by a couple of broncos players....so yea i got a special brick

Yeah COD is good if your the sender and don't particularly trust the person.
I still sometimes get COD when I'm the buyer, depending on who the person is and how much its costing me.

Like it's been said, nothing stopping the other person from sending you a brick. Unless you have a friendly post office lady that lets you have a good look, which is doubtful but I'm sure there'd be some out there.
