VZ SS RED UTE!..... yes... or no?
It's been a long 3 and a half weeks.... but...
My brother is going to give his answer on this red, vz 05 ss ute, 5.7L, hard cover on the back, lowered, 19's, sports shift kit(???), 33000kms.
It also has chevy badges...
We have got it down to 37.5k.
Are they conning us on price or is that OK?
Any comments appreciated, market value seemed to be... about the same, when we looked up other cars privately, stock were around the same price, even without hard cover.
Comments wanted!

Private sale or dealer? If private sounds a bit on the high side.
Being a V8 ute it's probably been given a bit of stick in its time.

its auto, from a car yard.
the private ones were the practically stock ones. for roughly the same price.
my brother said the auto actually drove ALOT better than the manual in the v8 ute.

no offence taken, it's just what my brother had said after, he has driven manuals for years but as he claims, has become.. "lazy"

the red ute is auto
the black, 2004 is manual, they want the same price. (same dealer)
after driving the black ute my brother said he went over a bump and the suspension was crap
he said the red auto was painless to drive with the suspension, i think he said its all on king springs???

i reckon he should get manual, much more fun and if he's been driving manuals for years he'll get tired of the auto pretty quick.

no. don't buy either. wait until ve ute in august-semptember region, then watch these vz's tumble, and tumble hard. expect an ss like that to drop at least 10k by then. new models nock the **** out of cars like that.
also i have driven many manual and auto utes, gotta go the manual. only reason one would buy an auto is if his leg was blown of by stepping on a land mine in a foreign country. seriously he would be bored in all of about 2 minutes if he is used to a manual. plus manual has better fuel economy!
but yeah, just my opinion.
Clickity the scales in you like, i'd appreciate it

LMAO 37.5k for a 5.7 VZ SS? Considering you can pick up 6.0 Z Series R8's for around 42-45 id say yes it is a rip off. The autos are perfect in these, shim them up and away you go.

i told my brother about the VE comment, not sure what he is thinking, how much are VZ utes when new? anyone?
i reckon it's a rip off too, but my brother is not considering private sale as a bank loan is 14.6% interest when he enquried on monday and finance is 9.65% i beleive.
he said to me he will be getting the car, i beleive it still has a year of new car warranty. i told him to keep haggling them.... i am awaiting to see what happens..
in regards to the manual debate, the red is auto and the black one which he didnt like was manual, not sure what's gonna happen with this though, i think he is gonna stay with auto.......

Seeing as they are still available, check the Holden website as a guide.

45k on the site with hard cover, not including all the hidden costs, so i guess my brother isn't too bad off, plus it has mods on this cars, 19's etc.
$3000 dollars insurance as he's only 21. WOOHOO, V8 in the family!
picking it up soon.
