just asking how many times people took to get there L plates and how many driving tests they had to do till they passed
i failed 2 times and then passed the 3rd time for my L plates
and currently failed my driving 1st examination awaiting to do my next one

I got my L's computer test first time (88%), but as Vicroads screwed around with my forms for medication, I'm now waiting for a doctors certificate, then I can go for my photo

I think my examiner was in a hurry, i didnt any parking or the likes, just went for a cruise.

Doin the online prac tests help out a heap, used to do them all the time preparing for the L test.

i got learners first shot and passed my P's first shot (but i did logbook, got around 92% on my final drive)

I passed the L's test first time, only got 3 questions wrong.

Passed the P's test the first time, got 95%+ (whatever the highest one is)

The guy said he COULD have failed me because he thought I turned at an amber light, but even my instructer said that was bull**** and I had the green , he passed me because he said my view might have been blocked by the truck infront, but I could see full well that the light was green... Either way, I passed

i passed learners first go and P's first go, its not overly difficult, just do alot of aroudn the city practice and make sure you do a decent set of professional lessons.

Yeah same for me, passed L's first shot, but then I was bout 12 hrs late renewing them so I lost them, so I sat them again that day, passed again, then finally went for my P's, and passed first time.

My instructor asked if I wanted to do the test here in Pirie or over in Laura (bout 30 mins away). I asked him wat would be the difference and he said that the town had no roundabouts and traffic lights (so I didn't have to do them), and has dirt roads and a highway all around it so it would be a lot qwik er to do it there....so I did....and passed.

second time for both. got one too many wrong on my learners first go, re-sat about a week later and passed.
P's forst time I came up a hill notorious for sunblinding people near dusk and got too close to the centre line. second time was earlier in the day so no hassles

1st go, not really that hard seeing their basic road rules, mind you I've heard that the new test is more extensive unlike the old 24 questions.

I got mine both on 2nd attempt. I think taking the p's test would suck so bad if you were in a big city (Brisbane, Sydney, etc.).
