ive had a freind just recently brake up from her partner of 3 yrs, she was 17 when she met him and he was 27 i think, (dont quote me on his age.\)

basicaly who thinks age does matter? does maturity have anything to do with it? personlay i belive a boke dating a girl in her teens, and he's a adult, i think it's just plain wrong thats my opionion,

i think about 3-4 years difference max.. im 18 and was dating a 16 year old for about a year and things were just too hard....example.... youve either gotta make a choice whether you go out to a club with your mates or spend the weekend with her and get called under the thumb boy.... i definately wouldnt do it again but some people are different from others

I'm with you on this Garth. Ages does matter. Especially with the sort of gap your talking about. It's huge. I mean, the bloke is meant to be an adult, but he's chasing round after an underage girl??? I mean, the girl cant even vote, nor is she classed as an adult. He obviously took advantage of her. She's not really mentally mature enough to see the dangers of this sort of relationship. And thats where these relationships die in the arse very quickly. One is far to more mature and life experienced than the younger one. They're on two completely different levels, no matter how much they deny it.

It's usually the naive ones you see falling for the older guys that 'charm' them.

LOL, when you're 18, yes it does make a big difference, but i agree the older you get the less anyone cares.

Both parties have to realise that over time their interests will change. The older person may have already done everything that the younger person wants to do, so compromise needs to enter the equation as well.

This is what I'm saying, at that age that you mentioned, both partners have matured a lot, and know what they want. They're more capable of making responsible decisions.

That'd suck sooooo bad. There's only 1 year, between me and Brent. I think thats a good gap. We get along great and I get along with all his mates. We're more on the same level and really understand each other.

But I'm with just about everyone else. The age gap Garth mentioned is pretty much pedophile status...

i was 17 when i was with my last gf, she was 15. but she was fairly more mature than most other 15 year olds.

i dont think, at a young age, that an age gap should be any more than 4 years MAX
