    Default taking tyre off rim

i do not not where else to place this question so i thought id post in here

are there any tools in the everyday gargage that can remove the tyre off my 15" interceptor rim??....the tyre is pretty muh useless and i want to spray paint the rim silver and put new tyres on.

or is my best bet to go to a tyre shop?

Spend the $5 at the tyre shop. If you have to ask then you have never done it before so therefore more likely to hurt yourself. Taking a tyre of a rim is not that hard but inexperience leads to pain.

if you dont want to pay $5 and you dont want the tyre, deflate it and cut the tyre up you'll need something pretty sharp though to cut through the belts.

Wouldn't potentially bugger up the rims?

yer i was thinking of cutting it up..maybe with a jigsaw??

the belts seem pretty tuff and i dont wanna wreck me jigsaw so i guess ill take it to the tyre shop.

how much will it cost to take the old tyre off and put MY new tyre on the rim? for both tyres??

He was an apprentice.....hardly a pro. And what were you doing with your finger there in the first place? Operating a hoist is different to changing a tyre, it's like asking a network engineer to build a gaming PC. Similar fields but totally different jobs.

We just go to our local Beaurepairs with the rim with the **** tyre on it, and another tyre which we want on the rim. He only charges us $5 to pull the old tyre off and put the new one on...we also take the sh!t tyre home coz we have our own way of disposing them (legal) and it saves an extra couple of dollars haha. We go there a lot tho, on average prolly bout once a fortnight to get one done When my mate use to work there he'd normally do it for free, just rock up and he'd even take the wheel off, change tyres, balance it and chuck it back on, but he moved away...damn.

or u can slash tyre then drive up the tyre not onto rim which breaks the bead on the tyre then get 2 big screw drivers and they come off pretty easy
