Hey, I have some stuff on ebay...
Mainly car parts, but I was also cleaning out my 'crap' cupboard, & found a pair of police lights, they are the cheap toy kind from cheap as chips, must have bought them for some party or something, never used them, anyways, I put them on ebay, they still have the cheap as chips or whatever $5.00 sticker on, (can see the sticker in the photo, but I doubt you can read the price?) & I put them in the 'toy' section said that I bought them for party never used them, never ever tested etc.... & well now they upto $50.00
I feel like maybe the person thinks they are real? I did put them in the toy section? I feel like maybe I should msg them & clarify, but on the other hand, they should be reading yeah? What happens when they get them & realise? can they leave me back feedback, because my ad was unclear or something?
I know I didnt go into detail, but I didnt think it necessary? I havent sold anything on there for ages so maybe I missed the new 'rules' lol but the money is really needed (single parent, still looking for work) so I dont really want to say 'hey look mate' lol & lose the money.
thoughts?
hahaha someone ahs a conscious(sp? its late!)
hahaha $%# em', they cant read, they dont deserve respect!
thats my theory anyway.
aZk.

eh just sell it. if theyre stupid enough to bid for it then let them have it. they dont deserve to have money anyway!
when foo fighters played last year(or was it the year before?) my mate scored a free tour shirt coz his mum worked merch. He ended up putting it up on ebay and got about 100 bucks or so for it!
haha i just had a looksee, how much did u actualy pay for them?
as long as it says that they are toy lights and not real ones it should be fine.
We got rep back, yaaay!
If people don't read the description or view the pics properly it's not your fault...
I saw a funny one the other week, someone in the UK was selling a dummy store shelf model of one of the new high end Nokia mobiles, clearly marked his auction as 'Dummy Nokia, blah blah' and made reference to the fact it was a dummy version of the phone and it sold for 800 or 900 Euro
If ignorance is bliss why aren't there more happy people around ?
you advertised in toys so if they don't see that i think its their bad luck
What have you got in your description? Message and clarify, they can retract their bid if they want.
you didn't actually desribe them as toys on ebay
you seemed to have put more of a desription on here about them![]()
Looking at the picture you can clearly see they are not real police lights. If someone wants to pay $50 for them, I say let them. Maybe you can't buy them anymore and they are a collectors item now. Could be worth $500 lol.
yeah i'd go for it, its not like you're gonna send them a photo of police lights.
I'd just say that as long as your description is enough to cover your ass your fine. I wouldn't really rely on the picture to get you out of trouble.
I'd say let them go for it, it's their own fault. And if they complain then you can just say the item was exactly as it was listed.
I recently sold my old k750i phone, was a bit rough and I started it at 30 dollars, hoping to get 50 for it, because I figured they could salvage the screen/battery etc. It ended up going for 100.
I love ebay when I'm getting money from it, I hate ebay when I'm having no luck with scammers etc.
If you are really worried you can message them and you can give them the option of cancelling their bid (both the seller or buyer can cancell a bid. But if they have bid $50 then someone else must have bid 49.
Mike
Just leave it, sounds to me you explained quite clear enough, maybe some1 reallly wants it? Good little investment that to was wasn't it, hehe.
have a look at the winning bidders profile and some of his recent purchases.
most are a police memorabilia type of thing so i would assume he wants the lights for some sort of display.
my feeling is he probably would have gone higher
who knows maybe its something that is now rare as hens teeth and this guy is getting a bargain.
can't hurt the conscience to think that can it?!!?
