Need help finding rambus ram

Hi, i just got a second hand comp from grays online. I want to upgrade the ram. I went to crucial.com and their scan said i can put 4 sticks of pc800 512meg ram in.
Does anyone know where i can get these cheaper than e-bay? It seems that i need to put this ram in in pairs so i want to buy 2 or 4 sticks.

If I remember correctly RAMBUS was created by intel in between DDR and SDRAM. Because it was only used with intel boards it was not taken to by the IT industry therefore there is not very much of this ram available. It would be expensive no matter where you look. You may want to try a website called atomicmpc and look at their forum.

Ebay is your best bet, normal computer stores you're looking at $400 for a 512Mb stick, ebay has that for ~$100

This type of ram is quite rare and can be expensive.
