    Angry Licence incorrectly issued (SA)

So at Christmas time 2005 I was pulled over by the police and one of my P-plates had fallen down. Fairly enough I was fined for it etc. then later on got a letter saying my licence had been disqualified for 6 months. I appealed and won my licence back. Anyway the expiry date on my licence is my birthday in 2007 (when i turn 20). This means the licence was renewed for an extra 12 months which is what was explained to me by the Transport SA customer service and my lawyer. Anyway two days ago i got a letter saying my licence was reissued incorrectly and i will have to pay $87 and my licence will be extended until 2009... grrr! This means i will have to wait till I'm 22 to get my full licence just because of a missing P-plate while other guys from my year level have been caught speeding, driving without due care, drink driving etc. already have their full licence! Its so annoying especially considering i religiously follow all the road rules unlike the aforementioned people. So everyone make sure you have your P-plates up otherwise you will still be paying for it four years later!

oh yes and i also blame P plates for stopping me from test driving a coupe GTO (i got offered a drive but had to refuse as i didnt have any plates on me)

nah get that a lot with that avatar cause the road still has white lines on it... that road is part of the old highway which is along the new fenceline of our farm... pretty cool we got a free burnout pad when they built the new overpass! the white lines are now black

What the feck, in WA, you get an on the spot fine and your on your way . Kinda like a ticket for not having your train ticket or something. Even if you have no plates at all, they let you drive off home. And it's $50 and your done, no loss in demerits or anything. Bad luck, that relaly sucks. Also, where are you so I know where I never want to drive ^.^

EDIT: Nevermind, read your location thing.

Yeah its the only thing I've ever been done for, besides being an accomplice for damage to public property for not telling the cops who blew up the school letterbox, it didnt give me any demerit points, just a fine and automatic loss of licence.

i got a lawyer for the P plate thing, i think thats what u mean, and we won, its just a new law they brought in on oct 31st 2005 that any cancellation of licence, even if you win an appeal, means your licence is extended for 3 years no matter if you actually lose it or not.

we do now! when they built a bypass thing they just left the old bitumen there. the fenceline goes around it now
