When I was a little Victorian kid I used to say oordee but since I grew up and the world became smaller I realised the correct way was oowdee that's how I say it

Depends on where you are from. I say owdee. Its a bit like Mercedes. Do you say Merseedes or Mersaydes, also adeedas or add did das. Even people from the country of manufacture pronounce the same word differently. If you speak clearly I don't think it matters how you pronounce a word. Except maybe if you say 'f' instead of 'th', that identifies you as a feral, lol.

over here in the US nearly every car brand is pronounced different to in oz. Niss-arn instead of Niss-en, Su-BAR-roo instead of Su-ba-roo, Hun-day instead of He-yun-day, Maz-darr instead of Maz-da. Not sure how they say Audi. I say owdee, thats how i remember them saying it on Sale of the Century when they used to give A4's away back in the day.

I just pronounce car names as the manufacturer pronounces them.
    Ow D, Mersaydes etc
From the New Zealand Road Patrol program it would appear Kiwis say
Sue BAAroo, cutting the word into two seperate parts with the emphasis on BAA.
I have relatives that say : Or dee, Renolt, Pue got and Sit tren.

Of course New Zealanders would say Sue BAAroo with emphasis on the BAA!

No, why do you ask? It is my inlaws who struggle with English and they are nearly as Australian as you can get.
