My bike mechanic had a Charade Turbo and a STI WRX. The Charade was unbelievable being quicker to 100km/h than the STI but slower over 400m by just 3/10 of a second. He used to race it at the Kwinana Motorplex so Perth people may have seen it and remember it running high 13s.
It won the go to whoa comp a few years ago as well.

Still, you wouldn't want to hit anything larger than a twig in it.

there are a bunch of them around here. quite popular to hum back and forth to work in because they really are cheap as chips to maintain and run.
i don't see what peoples hang up is with small cars.

i see a few of them used here for paper deliver and stuff. Neighbour had an older one with a 2speed manual gearbox. Great in town, not so handy on the highway.
