hey guys i managed to get my tv to work with my pc today
its all running smoothly but with 1 problem
i had to move my pc so the svideo cable could reach. the only ones i have are 5m and i was wondering if anyone knew of anywhere i could get maybe a 10m cable. i had a look at the local dicksmith shop but they only had 5m
just wondering if some are out there or if id need one custom made
id check a few computer shops coz because its not an uncommon thing
I thought they minimized length on these so that quality was not tarnished? I could be wrong.

- Theodor Seuss Geisel
na i had a look in a PC shopand they didnt have any
yeh they are supposed to be short but 5m is too short for any good use
that or i just go and get a HD tv cause the adapter i have also does HD (this will not happen as i cant afford it) im thinking that i should start ringing around
jb hifi I had a 10m one once, get a good quality cable shielded etc
<davy> remember when braveheart came out and everyone said you can't have mel gibson playing a scottish guy cuz it wont be realistic?
<davy> well look at him now
<davy> an alcoholic racist
no probs man
this one im using is crystal clear
i can even read text clearly on my tube tv (which is shocking cause its impossoble to do) (i just reset the resoultion, tuned the colour settings)
just gotta use the right resolution mate thats all it is
on my tiny tv i use 720x480 and its perfect i can run it on the same resolution as my flat panel moniter but then i cant read any of the text
Il give it a go when I get home! Makes a world of sense that adjusting the resolution will increase the qualityI waz gonna ditch the flat screen T.V for an LCD but id rather not waste tha $$$
thnx again~
I ran a 10m cable from a VCR to a projector when Bathurst was on last year and I had a clear picture. Maybe it is different from a PC. I have a little TV in my office that I use as a 3rd monitor and I have that running from the RCA video plug to the VCR then to the TV. Apart from resolution it works well.
