Hey,
Having purchased a itunes prepaid voucher, I ordered a few CD's and whatnot... the problem is that they are .m4p files and cannot be converted to AAC/mp3 jin iTunes. Does anyone know how to convert them to MP3/wav (for free) so I can actually listen to them on my MP3 player and phone?
Thanks,
Matty88
What do you want to play them on? I'm guessing a standard mp3 player and a non apple phone?
good old winamp will do it with a plugin for m4p and the mp3 encoder as the output.
however the other option is burn them onto cd from iTunes - move or delete your original files, then rip them from cd as mp3.
you'll get some quality loss though I think.
With Winamp, do I have to play the song then record it via line out of my soundcard? I hope not!
No, if you remember the old days of Winamp converting files to wav to burn onto cd, it was a matter off opening the playlist, having the encoder setup as your output in plugins and it would create a file.
Have a search on google for Winamp m4p to mp3 conversion. It should bring up some links.
