Translation: Some fellow decided he needed to stop in a hurry, (as can happen in the course of normal driving) and the 4 cars behind him were all travelling too close to the car in front and couldn't stop in time. Hence the fools who were driving in an inappropriate manner are all up **** creek.
Sorry to hear about the car, front ends are a fiddly thing to get right after they're munted, but you should probably learn to keep an appropriate distance or pay more attention to what's happening up front.

Although, cops have said that I am only liable for the guy in front of m, cause everyone had already hit like a second before i hit the car in front of me...Cops have said they are treating it like 2 accidents...Its gonna be long and complicated, but I am like 99% sure my car is a write off...And I have to pay 900 bucks in excess for insurance...Not happy...But hey, what do ya do...

Damn you definitely hit him pretty hard... that's a hell of a lot of damage. Sorry to hear it mate. I've written off two cars (VK into a pole, was distracted by a falling bag of Hungry Jacks on the passenger seat, looked back to see a pole directly in front of me and had no time to avoid it; And a "92 Mazda 626, was towing a trailer that was probably too heavy for it and was unable to stop in time when the guy in front of me decided to slam on the brakes at an orange light) and it's not a good feeling at all.
Good luck finding yourself another VN (or other)... hope it all works out. And just remember that it's a only a car, it (and the money) can be replaced... just be thankful you're OK. That's the main thing.

Too be honest, I really couldn't be stuffed buying the car back..Too much effort, and not really enough room lying around hear to keep a car and start wrecking it....

its quite possible that only 1 person is truly at fault, which is the 1st person to hit the front car.
in theory, if each car applies the brakes with some delay, if all the drivers are leaving adequate gap, then there should be space to stop. however this doesn't apply if the cars run up the back of a car in front, because their speed drops significantly (down to 0 i assume) quicker than possible with brakes.
So the first person should've been able to stop in time, whereas the 2nd person may not have the time to slow down quick enough, as the car in front of the them stopped quicker than possible with the use of brakes. And so on for the next 3 cars. it would actually be worst for the car at the end (you unfortunately)
mate i know what it's like to write off your car, especially a manual what you should do is what someone said, sell off the parts you can. i used the transmission / clutch kit from my written off VN to convert my Calais to manual. best thing i ever did
