there is no power restriction in SA, there is also no v8, turbo or supercharger restrictions. even passenger numbers arnt ristricted.
only ristiction coming to mind is the speed limit of 100km/h.

i was lead to believe no P plater was ment to tow any trailor but i have never herd of anyone getting in trouble or pulled over for towing, i have personally towed trailors and passed police while no problems

There isnt any laws saying you can't tow a trailer. The only stipulation is that there is a clearly visible P plate on the trailer your towing.

In QLD... The Queensland Government will introduce a new graduated licensing system from 1 July 2007 using a range of innovative and proven measures to reduce the young driver road toll.

Too many young people are dying on Queensland roads, with 17-24 year olds one of the most at-risk groups. In 2005 just 13 per cent of our drivers were young people, and yet 32 per cent of our road toll --- 106 fatalities --- came as a result of young driver crashes.

    Key changes will include:

    * lowering the minimum learner age to 16 and extending the licence period to 12 months
    * gaining 100 hours of certified supervised on-road driving experience for learners under 25s
    * restricting all mobile phone use, including hands-free, blue-tooth accessories, and loud-speaker functions, for learner and P1 provisional licence holders under 25
    * restricting mobile loud-speaker functions for supervisors and passengers of learner and P1 provisional licence holders under 25 while under instruction
    * motorbike learners will be required to hold a car provisional licence for 12 months prior to gaining a motorbike learner licence
    * introduction of a two-phased P1 and P2 provisional licence system
    * compulsory L plates (a black L on a yellow background) and P plates (a red plate for P1 and green plate for P2)
    * peer passenger restrictions (only carrying one passenger aged under 21) from 11pm to 5am for P1 under 25
    * high-powered vehicle restrictions for provisional drivers under 25
    * after 12 months on P1, licence holders must pass a hazard perception test to progress to P2
    * late night driving and other restrictions for disqualified and suspended young drivers

Really? I towed trailers with intact rowing eights on them without putting a plate on the trailer and coppers never took a second look. Could have been lucky i guess. Im not 100% for or against the power restrictions and the like but some of them do have merit. Gotta lurn to crawl before you can run

Well, either the cop was satisfied that the P plate on the car was clearly visible from the back, or he didn't even realise you were on Ps

Its the same fine as if you were to not display a P plate on your car aswell, which is usually automatic DQ

If you already have your P's they will not effect you unless you lose your license and have to start over again on your P's.

At work I always use the boss's ute and take the car trailer filled pretty high with panels and bumpers out to the dump (then cash in the metal panels). I don't even bother putting P plates up at all tho, never been pulled over about it

The other day in my bro's VN I got pulled over and the p plate at the rear was down the side of the parcel shelf. He only asked me to put it up coz it seems to have fallen. But when I take my bro to work every morning (30 mins out of town) I make sure the plate isn't 100% up coz I take them down when I get on the highway....the only reason I do it is coz I sit roughly on 100 but sometimes it creeps up to 110 and if they think it's a fully licenced driver then I'll be fine. When I got pulled over the other morning the cop thought it was my brother using my licence. My bro lost his licence for 6 months so he thought it was my brother trying to pull a swifty by showing his brother's license (mine)....I even had to show him more identification to proove I was me haha.

Back onto the trailer thing.....I've also towed quite a few cars behind me on a trailer....never put plates on the trailer and they've never bothered to pull me over for it.

Only 2 days to go and I'll be off my P's anyways!
