Way to conservative. just look at a game of footy from the 80's. Our culture is going soft
How to be a good Australian Citizen: Drive a Camry, Become another number in the system, Dob in all other numbers for un-numberlike behavior (no matter how slight), Base all your opinions solely on the information provided by T.T. and A.C.A., Believe everything our gracious Government Tells you to.

I would have to say that judging by the comments on here, JC members behave themselves, not necessarily being conservative. You can have your fun but as long as the environment is correct. I can't tell you the amount of flack I get on the SC forum for agreeing with speed camera's and enforcement techniques used to catch speeders.

i think as the law cracks down on hoons its makeing it harder to own a modded car without getting busted for something for e.g maybe your tyres are to big or you have gauges ect or whatever but as for conservative? yes we are! thats not neccesarly a bad thing provided it has its place but i am getting sick of hearing about anti hoon this & anti hoon that! while i do agree with the law you speed you get busted ect my gripe is the convienient denial of facts from the government! lets put things into their place shall we and have a look at the statistics! these are the facts taken from qld transport web site:
In 2005, 330 people died on Queensland roads
29,761 people were caught drink driving
On average, 1,317 drivers a day were caught speeding
6,191 road crash victims were hospitalised
the reality is that majority of young people killed on our roads is due to dd or driveing under the influence FACT!
i just hate it how the government tries to make out that all people who own modded vehicles are hoons and that modded cars are the suposed cause of death rather than the real truth which is the drug and alcahol abuse among young aussies today! It realy is sad that so many who love their cars & are doing the right thing have to take the heat from other peoples stupidity!! and as for conservation today?? well seeing as this is a car forum lets not forget that the great cars we have today both hsv/fpv where built around demand from customers who lived in the bygone muscle car era and who loved there sports cars and drew insparation from the infamous bathurst race & of course the red light drag! i guess times they area changeing and when all said and done maybe theres a good reason for conservation maybe it preserves life!

I meant NRL but AFL needs it they're getting too soft. If someone said something about my family I'd let em have it. Why not they're asking for it.

i think there are just as many fools here as anywhere else. we just do everything we can to steer the site in a respectably legal direction.

one thing people never seem to take into account is that we as people weren't meant to go this fast. we're damned lucky there aren't stacks more accidents.

I'll be the first to admit I'm a kranky old bastard, in all escences you just need to speak to the towies out there everyday they will all tell you the same thing "no one is polite and that's what causes all the accidents"

If people obeyed the road rules would there be any crashes?

As far as driving goes people view it as a right not a privilege .

I just cringe when I see people looking in the mirror putting on makup or holding a phone to the ear while driving, or someone leaving a mere metre between themselves and the car in front.

I was learning on the motorbike a few years ago and a guy (young male) was in a lifted 4WD ute. The guy decided to veer off the road and do a power slide in the dirt(drifting a bit I guess) and then come back onto the road at about 60KM per hour sideways. First of all it was all to close to me and second if ya want to do that stuff find a paddock and stuff around there.

Not many people have common sense anymore

agreed, in a controlled open enviroment, i thnk it should be excusable, but around other people stuff like that is a big no no

because we're a soft squishy organism which breaks easily when it stops suddenly from 100km/h.

the thing is, they could slow the national speed limit to 20km/h and people would still find a way to get hurt
