Hi this question is mainly for the ute owners but feel free to add if you can.
I have this uncle who has just bought a VY S ute, and he said to me the other day he was worried about the fuel cap there is not latch on the flap and no lock on the cap itself. Now he has been told that feul cant be taken out, but thats not gonna stop a**holes putting stuff in it if they want to. Is there something that you guys have done to combat this or is there a lockable fuel cap out there??

I'm sure you can get a lockable cap. Take it into a parts store and see if they can match one up.
cool thanx mate, yeah thought there might have been something out there like that.

ive never had any problems with people stealing fuel in the 4 years ive owned a ute
Ive got a lockable one on my car, it came with the car though. Im pretty sure you can get them from places like SuperCheap Auto im sure AutoBarn probally sells them as well.

Lockable one from sprints or the like for about $20 new. You would have thought for the cost it could have been a standard item.....
yeah they are on the 1 tonners, they are made my cpc, if it easier ull get one from holden easy
Or, you could jsut do like im gonna, i already hade the parts for my old girl, but you get a sedan locking one, drill the holes in the right places to mount the latch, put the releas into the car, or like im gonna do, have the cable connected to an electronic realease in the guard, or you could just get a lickong cap like the other guys suggested lol
