It's got something to do with iTunes. Do you have it installed on the computer?
This is a common problem that is normally associated with the itunes instalation, so by any chance have you installed itunes ?
If you have installed itunes, try uninstalling it then re installing it with the latest installation
EDIT: Matty beat me to it
oh k itunes is with umm wot the one yahoo?

If you shutdown the computer, boot into Safe Mode (press the F8 key as soon as it starts to boot up), and you can remove any program there, as it is a very cut down version of Vista. Chances are you won't have networking so you can't access the net in Safe Mode.
also if u r having difficulty with user account control>>>always always always clcik continue>>if trying a program or anything and it says u need to be logged in as admin click ok>then right click program and select run as admin>>(i work for bigpond and vista sucks dogs ass)
SAVE YOURSELF!!!! DOn't install Vista!!!
Its the biggest POS i have even seen in my life, n i've seen elephant sh*t!
Nuffin runs on it properly, nothing has drivers like seriously i have a microsoft keyboard and mouse which they didn't release drivers for! I chews through resources like anything! I use Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash on a day to day basis and the run 20 times slower on vista than XP and are much more prone to crashing...
N i just spent over 2G upgrading my computer with a 900 bux nvidia GFX card, E6600 Duo 2 Core processor and 2GB of DDR3 ram...
When i had XP it was the fastest thing ever! all the appilication where warp speed. Now i regret installing vista so so so bad... The only upside is that i got it for free from work... If i spent money on it i would have been so pissed of!
Back on subject but!
I got itunes and i've never had that issue...
Though a few programs were f*ckin around till i change their "compatibility" to Windows 2000.
I dunno, maybe that'll help?
I agree Vista is a POS too, I upgraded to 1g of RAM up from 512mb, no noticable difference, CPU is at 100% all the time, but I CBF going back to XP
Yeah, i been looking at performance benchmarks and vista compared to XP can be up to 90% slower on certain programs...
For gaming, the difference is only about 3-8% but the biggest deal is that the stability and consistency isnt there, but that should be resolved in the next few months... after all... I said the same thing about XP when that came out. haha.

so how did you install it? not an upgrade from xp?or did you buy vista home premium...you do have original vista disc?,i might reccomend a full format and re-install,but personally i stay away from vista at the moment, just like everything, when it's first released,it's buggy...
I was going to go back to XP today, but I have a torrent that's over 50% downloaded and I don't want to lose it. I'm waiting until Vista SP1 comes out. The OS didn't even pick up my SoundBlaster soundcard, I'm using the crap onboard audio. Even that doesn't work properly. XP rules!
Nah mate, not a movie, a game![]()
Hehe... it's legal.
Definately PC games, don't like PS2 or XBOX. More control and you are closer to the screen.
ok....brother in law asked me to have a look at his brand new computer, running vista, played up as soon as he got it,had it only 2 days,he took it back, what i found, and i have never seen this before,it would automatically shut down after 15 mins,so i took a look see in his bios,i found in the bios, monitor thermal power off,it gave you options of 4..6...8..12 and 16 mins, and no way of disabling it,as i thought, thermal, meaning getting hot and those times were it's cut out points, therefore shutting down system at the adjustable time limits, something i have never seen in a bios before for a monitor, have you come accross this in any system bios?
Mines the opposite...
My PC is hooked up to 37inch hi def LCD... so sitting on the floor trying to manipulate a mouse and keyboard is kind of annoying...
Maybe one day I will buy a monitor...
And try finding a game other than flight simulator that runs in 1360x768 so that everything isnt oval shaped.
haha.
But ive upgraded a bit and enjoy the versatility of PC more than console (until forza 2 is available, then i will be locked to the 360 for months!)

my 360 is stock.. the only thing I have is that intercooler **** on the back of it... not because I had any heat problems, but just because i keep it in a confined entertainment unit, and above a 800WRMS HT amplifier and dont want it to die an early death.
Apparently if you modify the 360 for hacked games, then you cant access Xbox live, and well... I'd hate to pay $80/year for nothing haha.
Plus, these days, i prefer to buy my games... if i had a dollar for every time i got virus or spyware from trying to download hacks or cracks, i wouldnt be such a cheapass to download in the first place, haha.

You can also install Linux on modded 360's, just like the original XBOX.
mines stock as well, but i hear lots of wonderful things about a product.including being able to go on xbox live
,however that doesn't worry me as i don't use live.i'm the opposite...having kids,it's a must to back up,no matter where or how high up you put games ...kids will always find them...LOL
i'm just after info from someone that has this product,PM me and i can tell you the name of it![]()
