So much for p platers thinking it's all in their head, saw on TT last night that their setting up a website dedicated to dobbing in P platers, parents can go on and also put their childs rego on and if anyone complains they get a message telling them so.(which is a good thing if the kid uses the family car).
anyway young p platers it's not in your head the rest of society is really out to get you!

Yeah its all pretty BS!
For every p-plater i see doing stupid **** i see another 20 people from across the demographic doing stupid sh*t.
You'll read about the p-plater doin burnouts in the paper but u won't read about the old man i saw loose control of his car.... pulling out of a parking spot and t-bone the car that was parked infront of him... Funniest thing i ever saw till i realized i share the roads with that lil old man...
Oh the poor & oppressed P-Platers of this world. Who will fight and stand for this obvious injustice?
Seriously, unless you're doing something "ILLEGAL", why are you even worried? There is also http://www.ratetheplate.com.au/
So don't think it is just you poor little P-Platers getting picked on. I think it is any fool that drives like an idiot. Are you one of them?![]()
HAHA I'm a 28 yr old p plater, I should go dump a burnout and see if anyone dobs me into mummy and daddy. I'm gonna go put in all my younger siblings rego plates for **** and giggles![]()
mmmm my wifes a p plater now i can find out if she is doin doughnuts or burnouts in my carWait she would prob brag bout it too me ne wayz.....
can i add this to the 400 other "poor p-plater' threads. Im not saying P-platers are at fault all the time. They did mention that accidents involving p-platers had risen 20%. i wonder why this is? i also wonder what percentage of non p-plate drivers involved in accidents is. Funny they fail to make those comparisons.
Basically, without getting into it, if you have a problem with these programs contact them with another side of the story or another story.
People in the groups these programs 'target' know if it is them at fault or if they are not part of it. If not, get over it and get on with life! If so, start following the road rules.
Millions of these threads wont achieve anything other than giving it more press.
of course there a p platers ********s everywhere. not all are ********s. but it's funny how some fully licensed ****s bag p platers, some bag drivers in general by saying stuff like "oh on the road everyone is a ********, you have to watch out for others on the road that **** you up" and I, a p plater, encounter more ****wits that are fully licensed than p platers. yes of course i see more fully licensed driver than p platers, but if you do some maths and bring in some ratios, and you even out the number of p platers and fully licensed people, i'd say that i still see more people pulling out of stop signs, cutting in front, not looking, etc that are fully-licensed and "experienced" drivers. if i see someone chirp them round a corner, or someone cain it at the lights, it's always a p plater or someone in their early 20's. what i really hate, is the people that bag p platers with a full on passion but fail to say anything bad about all the non-p platers that do stupid things on the road. and if you ask me, i don't think that fully-licensed drivers that **** up on the roads do so because they don't give a ****....some of them probably **** up because they're super impatient, and, not as confident as they think. people say that yo uare only a "good" driver when you have experience...well they're are plenty of experienced drivers, and most of them aren't "good" because (a) as some have mentioned on this forum before, every day we are learning on the roads, no matter how many years you're been driving, and (b) someone who is considered a fairly competent and "good" driver would not cut in front of people because they can't wait for a chance to move over safely, or pull out from stop signs unsafely because they cannot wait for 1 car, and pull out of parking spots too quickly without even bothering to look, etc.
so in summary, there are the wanker p platers, and the responsible and sensible p platers...there are also the wanker fully-licensed drivers, and the sensible and responsible ones

Seriously I'm like WTF. Fair enough it's the family car or your under 18 cause your parents still have a legal responsibility. I did heaps of stupid **** when I was young as I'm sure others have. Difference is I did it middle of no where or industrial estates at night (which is what the local d's preferred).
<davy> remember when braveheart came out and everyone said you can't have mel gibson playing a scottish guy cuz it wont be realistic?

Agreed... we used to Ehem.... enter.... an abandoned collerie (scuse spelling) and thrash around (burnouts doughnuts timed runs, 1v1 rallies etc) but we didnt do it down suburban streets, A)too easy to get caught b)what if you injure/kill sum1? If you feel like a race or seeing how fast ur car can go, go to a drag comp or a drift comp entry is pretty cheap and if ur doin drag u get a slip of ur run (proof u did a 15 sec quarter etc)! If ur mate says my r33 would beat ur vx ss prove him wrong at a drag strip (or track day)..... NO im not a 64 yr old "Anti p plater" (im 21 and only juss got my full licence 6 mnths ago). I dont know why ur complaining about the ACA and TT program (prepares fire extinguisher for flaming....) if ur law obiding as you have said then u should have no fears
the cops cant bust ya 4 being a good driver and they are the only people u have to worry about. People who believe ACA and TT are idiots anyway so why do you care?
ahah, so classic. Sorta like cops aren't out to get people with modified cars. suuuure, the whole, 'if its not defectable, you have nothing to worry about'
Those types of comments only come from people who clearly got the license before the P's sytem was introduced, or own a stock white Exec. Wheres the fun in that tho.

Just for the record, last year there were I think 4 P platers involved in fatal accidents in South Australia.
Compare that to some of the other demographics and see what you get.
Or the little old lady who lost control and went ploughing into a dentists surgery....or the old lady who lost control when parking and ran somebody down and killed them, or the old man who hit 5 cars in a carpark and almost ploughed his wife over trying to get out of the spot he was in, or the old man who wandered into oncoming traffic, panicked and forced me into the other lane so he wouldnt hit me...
There are PLENTY of other road users out there who deserve to be critisised for their driving abilities, but it seems that P Platers are the most picked on.

ha im a 24yo p plater (go onto opens in jan2008) and my old mans(44) fully licenced & drives rather poorly for his age considering the experiece he should have! for e.g i get a lift to work with him every day & he leaves it to the last second to enter into a lane also when pulling into a lane he pulls right behind someone and i mean right behind (this is on the hwy doing 100/klmh like if they hit their brakes for some reason it would be all over for us!) and it has made me very aware of how much b.s this bagging of p platers really is! meaning not every p plater is a hoon or as bad on the roads as people make out i mean alot of p platers are better drivers than some fully licenced people are! with that said i also think the real problem is idiots p platers who have just got their licence and act like tossers and do burnouts up local streets! i also hate idiots like that for e.g we have these w@nkers who think its cool to go caining it up the street even though they know that children live in this street and cross the road reguarly to visit each other wich realy pisses me off! i just want to roll some spikes out across the road and watch them crash and their cars burst into flames and be totaled so they have to walk every where!
I wouldnt even care if TT put a spy camera in my car, im not doing anything wrong so why should i care what they say or show on the news.
