Highway Patrol officers doing random breath tests on the Hume Highway at Marulan, north of Goulburn, were alerted by a motorist to a car travelling south at dangerous speeds.

Police spotted the maroon Toyota Camry sedan about 11.20pm (AEST) and followed it for several kilometres along the highway.
The pursuit ended when the car lost control, slid across a grass median strip and hit a guard rail on the opposite side of the road.
The driver, a 13-year-old girl from Welby, fled, but was later discovered by police in nearby bushland.
The teenager was examined by ambulance officers and found to be uninjured.
Police released the girl into the care of her parents while inquiries continue.
Meanwhile, another teenager has been charged after crashing during a police pursuit in Sydney's west.
Police saw a black Honda Integra allegedly travelling at more than 90km/h about 9.40pm (AEST) yesterday in Station St, Auburn.
The vehicle allegedly failed to stop at a red traffic light at the Rawson Street intersection, and police followed it along several local streets.
The driver stopped after crashing into another vehicle at the intersection of Park and Union roads, police said. No one was injured in the crash.
A 16-year-old Auburn youth was arrested at the scene and taken to Flemington Police Station where he was charged with dangerous driving, being an unaccompanied learner driver, and taking a vehicle without the owner's consent.
He was granted conditional bail to appear in Parramatta Childrens Court on May 24.
