    utorrent..........

i seem to lose internet speed when i upload more than 8kbps......download doesnt effect internet speed at all......but this is due to my ports not being forwarded properly

Once a Mercedes is up to cruising speed it lopes along easily and is happy sitting on 180+ km/h all day. Please check the speed limits in your area before attempting this…

I use the normal bitorrent and find it ok most of the time but download can be such a pain as it is slow.

hey mate I use utorrent, as u can enable encryption on utorrent which gives u a bit more privacy when downloading torrents. Azureus i got busted on downloading things haha, so be careful on what ur after on azureus

The 2 popular clients are Utorrent and Azureus, I have used both and found each to have their own pro's and con's.

Utorrent whilst small will absolutely hammer a modem with connections, leaving a lot of connections just hanging there.
Azureus yes whilst using Java it's a massive memory hog but lets face it if your using a half decent computer your hardly going to notice it.

Given the machine I use at home has 4gb ram I run Azureus and never had any drama's, I have to get my monthly linux fix somehow don't I.

Azureus is also quicker for some torrents although hardly noticeable for the vast majority of trackers.
