Interesting incident on the way to work yesterday.
Was stuck behind a slow truck, one of those A frame ones that carry glass.
Driver and passenger were having a good old chinwag as they went hence the reason they had no idea they were holding up a rather long line of traffic on an irritating piece of highway between Warrnambool and Port Fairy.
Bits of rubbish were flying off the truck (only cardboard etc) so i extended my distance a fraction while at the same keeping an eye out for an opportunity to overtake.
As i peer around the side of the truck looking for traffic a window glass falls from the truck and shatters to a million pieces on the highway and across the front of my car.
No damage to car, there were bits of glass like grains of salt stuck in the plastic bumper and mirror case but it seemed to just rub off.
Sure gets ones attention early in the morning.
Thanks for making my day Wannon Automatic Doors.
Had to share.
By the sounds of it, you were very lucky. Could have been a lot worse.

as long as ur ok mate thats the main thing. I rekon call the company and complain. To get the glass off take the car to the Car Wash and hp the flakes off
How is your tires?? Did you go over the glass? I bet they have some nasty cuts in them, You better check it properly before they become too dangerous in a matter of time.

you moderator's are having a bad run at the moment arn't ya?
At least the cars not damaged though!
We got rep back, yaaay!
tyres are ok. i assume it was safety glass because it broke up into the little pebble-like pieces rather than big sharp angry bits.
Salty looking bits in the bumpers and mirrors just brushed off. Might be a few new chips but the car has plenty of them anyway. If it had been a new car i dare say they would be hearing from insurance.
Also got the car behind me but he didn't bother stopping either.
