Like how the hell can you be doin ur test, pull up at a intersection and not even look b4 u take off n have to have the testing officer go off his nut coz u didnt look.

They shouldnt be allowed to even try goin for the lic after soo many tests and fails.

they should be stripped of there right to go for the lic.

just remembered my neighbour was on her L's at the same time as me, same instructor and he told me that even in backstreets if there was any car in her rear view, she'd pull over and let them go past then pull out again.

i have 2 opinions on the show.

1. it is friggin hilarious and i'm going to watch it every week because i find it hilarious

2. despite how funny it is, it's scary to think that these people will be out on the roads with me shortly. they may know how to use a clutch, and how to look both ways before turning, and know how to use mirrors, but they sure as hell do not know how to drive a car.

A perfect example is this weeks show - where the ad shows them coming up to the skid pan at 60 (possibly 80?) and they have to brake in the wet, and not crash. well this girl slams on the brakes, despite them giving her plenty of warning and telling her that brakes work better when they don't lock up (no **** sherlock) Anyway the result is that she locks up and crashes into the barrels.

For anyone who drives manual, people would be aware that engine braking is awesome, and used in conjunction with medium to heavy braking, you can slow down pretty damn quickly and not lock the wheels. Now while i'm not saying the L platers should know this by themselves, perhaps they should be taught? i dunno it just seems like the show is for comedy purposes, and doesn't really care about driving ability.

last week their test was to parallel park. the drivers got congratulated because "they only just hit the car behind". If some L plater "only just hit my car" i'd friggin kill them and their instructor!

And the gay bloke on that show. don't get me started on him. i don't hate him because he's gay, lets get that straight. i hate him because he's an ingnorant ********, and when he's driving with one hand around a corner i felt like slapping his hand too! You need 2 hand to turn a corner mate! (i know it's possible with 1, but if something goes wrong, you need that 2nd hand)

Long post, i guess i just like to rant. Sorry guys! Overall, funny funny show. but god help us all when they pass their test. especially those in sydney, as thats where it is filmed

the thing I found funny was the chick that crashed last week..

they have watched her how many times... they saw her how many times, drop her head and LOOK at the gear shifter to change gears, taking her eyes completely off everything else in the car and the road for god knows how long..

yet they still put her in a manual to start the show....

NOW she crashed it they are giving her an auto...

FFS I saw her crashing from the first episode cos of that and that was the first time I ever saw her drive....

Whatever happens to them and or if they DO get the licence, they should put up a massive warning sign on their car when driving to let others drivers know that they are an accident waiting to happen and to stay far away for their own safety!!

i feel a lot more unsafe knowing that those people might make it to the road. honestly, if you suck that bad, get some common sense and stop trying... it's pathetic. cars are proverbial "murder weapons" and they are giving loaded guns to unlicensed maniacs.
