i'm probably going to get flamed and called a traitor for this............
i'm selling my vl as i've just bought a ford. i've always been a ford person as i learnt to drive in an old fairlane 500 v8. i've just bought a 1998 model EL Falcon XR6 Tickford enhanced. It's got the Tickford cam, suspension, and stronger diff. Tinted windows, alloys, rear wing, auto, sports exhaust. Only has 98000 kms on the clock and in IMMACULATE condition. Got it for the bargain price of $8,500. For a 6 cyl she deadset screams. I can't wait to receive it tomorrow.

hey i dont mind fords i was considering getting the XR6 in the model BEFORE the one you just purchased..........they look tough sitting low i reckon.........id rather drive an XR6 than a VL commodore i tell ya that much!!

Nice the EL xr6 is almost as fast if not faster than the xr8's. The EL's were probably the best xr6's made in the e series

she handles really well. the tickford suspension is heavy duty. the owner put it through some bends at 150km/hr and it just gripped the road, don't worry he's an ex copper. i'd like some extractors on it. a mate reckons the same model xr8 will only beat the xr6 if it has a full exhaust system, and even then only just. and mine's tickford enhanced so it has a better cam.

Just a quick thing all the xr6's were tickford enhanced with different cams they all have a large T stamped on the front of the head

Why is there so much hate for the VL? Yeah there's a world of difference between the VL and a XR6 of any kind, but VLs are still good cars.
