Chicken Pox.. As An Adult?!?

Hey all, I've just turned 19 & for my 19th b'day i scored chicken pox somehow.. I HAVE NO IDEA HOW IT HAPPENED!

I understand how they say adult chicken pox is worse...

This is killing me!!!!!!!!!!!

Yep, you certainly can get it as an adult, even if you had it as a kid. That "you can't get it again" is a myth.

Hope you recover soon man...i had chickenpox when i was 15...it was evil

I am yet to have chicken pox, thats why you have the vaccine each 4 or 5 years to keep protected!!!

As an adult your more alert to it..

Can't go anywhere... Staying in bed sucks!!!!!!!!!

Looks horrible, & damn some of them are itchy.....

+ whole bunch of other crap that can be deadly i just dont remember wat it was lol

Yep, they're as itchy as all damn hell...but if you scratch 'em it only makes it worse

I remember when i had it in school...my then-girlfriend got it a few weeks later, and there was this huge inquiry into it because some psycho bitch was crapping on about how i gave it to her or some bull**** like that...man i miss high school....NOT!!

Hozy, go buy a SHIRTLOAD of calamine lotion, it helps relieve the itching. It stinks, but i head its perfect for the pox. Cartman liked it in one SP episode

Oh and you should see a Dr as you can also get medication to help disperse the pox!!

I had when i was 7. Don't scratch because when you break the lump they will leave a mark when you get better and the mark will stay there for a long time.

Fozy, my wife got chicken pox first time when she was about 23 or 34. She hadn't been exposed to it because she was hiding out in Mexico. But some little grommit kid in Australia in the resturaunt must have given it to her. Anyways :P DON'T SCRATCH THE LUMPS, she scratched about 3 of the 10,000 and those 3 made a scar the other 9,997 healed just fine. She went to the Dr before the lumps arrived because she felt sore all over and he told her she had arthritis and gave her all these drugs which she hadn't taken when she woke up the next day full of lumps

. But yeah it's heaps more nasty as an adult shes ended up looking like a dead zombie with her flesh falling off and took two weeks off work. But like I said don't scratch them and you wont get many scars but make sure you take some healing drugzzzz like vitamin E and zinc and such just to be sure

Eeep, I am also yet to catch the chickens pocks. My GF's mother had gotten shingles (advanced form of the pox) and I (living in the same house) didnt catch them, or the pox. I hope I never get them, they sound the dumps.
