Mod a DIFFERENT car
if you could mod ANY car you like, in ANY way you like what would it be?
but, the only catch is it has to be something original and DIFFERENT. not the same old stuff that most people do. bonus points for going to the extreme and picking something that hasnt been done before (to common knowledge). and post up a few things you would do to it.
my pick would be (dont shoot me) a volkswagen karman ghia
running a 4.2L VW V8 out of a pheaton. and a supercharger if it could fit
obviously it would have all the goodies.. chopped, shaved, slammed, lengthened, suicide doors, big wheels and custom grille and rear.

Nice pick Troy! Love the old aircooled VW's.
I'd go for a split screen Kombi with a heavily worked 1.8 20v turbo out of the Audi TT and plenty of brake upgrades. Slammed with a nice set of wheels, but otherwise looking stock (just very clean) externally. Probably metallic cream over mid blue paint.
Interior would have to be properly kitted out but I won't bore everyone with going in to that!!

if i could afford it, i'd do something ridiculous to one of the old school Saab turbo's, whack either a 2JZtt in there, or a big block with a blower sticking out the bonnet. it'd have to be black, with steel "drag" style rims, hunched stance (raised at rear, low at front), and have a 'chute with big wing out the back
there's just something about that shape that i like...

I actually plan on doing this in the future when time permits.
I want to use a 2 door LJ torana and drop a twin turboed 20b into it. Work from there.

4 x 2 (2WD) - Refers to a two-wheel drive vehicle with four wheels. The first figure is the number of wheels. The second is the number of powered wheels. With a 4x2, engine power is transmitted to only two wheels, usually the rear.
Part-Time 4WD - Refers to a four-wheel drive system that operates on-demand and drives all four wheels by locking front and rear axles together via a shift lever. It usually includes two speed ranges (Hi and Lo). Part-time 4WD systems must be operated in 2WD mode on dry pavement, as they're designed to be used only in specific situations when extra traction is required.
Full-Time 4WD - Describes a four-wheel-drive system that can be operated continuously on all surfaces. A full-time four-wheel-drive system may include the option of part-time operation (allowing you to shift into 2WD on dry pavement for example), and may or may not have Hi and Lo speed ranges.
Automatic Four-Wheel Drive (A4WD) - This type of drive system automatically engages 4WD as needed. When internal monitors sense differences in individual wheel speeds, indicating that a tire is slipping, then 4WD is automatically engaged.
Shift on the Fly - This type of system allows manual shifting from 2WD to 4WD Hi without coming to a stop. Most systems have a speed limit at which you can engage the system; typically it's under 60 mph.
All-Wheel Drive (AWD) - A full-time single-speed system designed to supply drive power to all four wheels. The percentage of front/rear power delivery varies from system to system.

I'd have my '76 Capella back, and put maybe a V6 in it (5 litre if possible), but I'd keep all the exterior mods old school. Lotsa chrome and flared wheel arches.

Mine would be a bolwell nagari.
Hand built in mordialloc Vic between 1969 - 1972 there were only 127 coupes made and 13 convertibles. Originally came with with either a 302 or 351 clevo toploader and a 9 inch diff.
Fibreglass body and they weigh only 950.
Modding it would be sacreligious but if i were to do it would have to be with a new ls2 6 litre and and a T56 suspension work big ass brakes and strengthened diff. Maybe some flare work to the body and some phat ass b45's.
Now that would be one seriously quick car
