Optus Users

Has anyone on Optus networks (cable specifically) had any downtime problems? Mine's hell slow, and I haven't used up all my data yet.

I really need to either look at my settings or another provider..........for ADSL 2+ it seems pretty damm slow at my end!
Only thing I can say about Optus, I have never in 2 years had any downtime.

I've never had any downtime either, but my brother got $30 extra credit on his prepaid phone (why didn't I get any ) as they said they are doing maintence or something. Soooooo freeaking sllllooooowww. Was fully down a few nights ago, I had no JC fix for a day, I was huddled in a corner rocking myself to get over the pain hahahaha

im with TPG, never had any down time for the last what, 3 years???, but i think its time to move from the trusty old 512kb to the good ol 8mb

Ive noticed my optus cable has been intensely slow the past 2 or so weeks

I had Otpuss BB for a year. So glad I changed camps- mayaswell had dial up(that was the upload/download speed 80% of the time). Haven't had a single prob with AAPT....

Good im not going insane
Mine has been really slow aswell, no downtime just painfully slow.
I did one of those speed test things and its only running 2 -3 MB and normally runs in the 7's (cable this is)
I Hate Optus as soon as the contracts up im taking the home phone and the internet and going elsewhere.

i got normal ADSL ( 512k ) through Optus and about once every fortnight its down completely for about 30mins other than that i dont experince any.

At my current house which we are renting at the moment while our new house is being built, I have TPG ADSL2+ and to be honest my old optus cable kicks its ass. I will be putting optus cable back on in the new house. I had it for about 3 years and never had a problem. With this TPG **** all i have had is problems.

Had optus cable for many years and so far have only had one problem. The original modem blew up (on 24x7 for the last 4-5 years )

Been the best so far, really hate bigpond though. Have it at work and they stuffed up the settings on switching to ADSL2 and they stuffed the settings. Took them a day to figure out the problem

My optus cable is working excellent. Last 7 months not a problem, best i ever had!

Optus Cable gave me the absolute ****s when i first got it, there was something wrong with the power lines in our street not providing enough something... Fixed now.

Over the last week it has been kinda slow... but it doesnt seem to bad now.

It's still slow, but getting faster every 5 mins or so.... JC seems to load fast as tho which is good

EDIT: Just switched the cables from the modem to the original ones (tried another set the other day as I thought the cable was broken). Full speed ahead now I'm so happy
