Car damaged in carpark! = $4500

For those of you that may remember someone had backed into my car at work in the carpark and caused considerable damage..... and left with no note.
It was repaired while we were away and they have done a nice job
Repair bill came to $4500, needed a new bull bar front guard lights etc.
Turned out some other peoples cars were broken into the same day and some fuel tanks were drained.
Apparently they have some of the "action" on security footage and the police are still investigating it.....
I was lucky as it has only cost me a $400 excess so far ( which we may get back if they are caught), and i dont lose my no claim bonus thank god!
RACQ were great to deal with as we did not have to worry about it at all while we were away.
So the cruiser now has a new bullbar and sporting a nice chrome set of Rallye 4000 spotlights....... very nice!

Good to here that you got your car back on the road. Now you need to pin whoever trashed it in those new spotlights & wack them with your brand new bullbar.

I somewhat believe i may loose my no claim bonus this time tho!!! TEE HEE!
They are nice bright lights...... Makes seeing the critters that are on the side of the road a hell of a lot easier. ( we do a fair bit of night time driving here on open road and there are lots of hoppys and the odd moo cow on or besides the road!)

And a moo cow does a lot more that 4k damage - to any type of car.

Recently one of the bosses was coming home in a Prado and an adult pea**** flew accross the road in front of him and went straight through the windscreen!!! They are a very heavy bird i suppose.... he got showered in pea**** crap, glass and blood! But he was unhurt. It was a direct hit on the windscreen only. Very lucky!
