Movie Title Help

Hi

Im stumped on this movie i loved as a kid but cant remember the name. I cant tell you the whole plot as i do not remember. I was hoping someone knows it and can help.

It has like animals/monsters that when they turn red on areas of their bodies they are angry but calm when blue, and there is a main character on an air board i think. I know im not giving you guys/gals much to go on, but it is worth a shot asking.

English movie. Ummmmmm lets see it was sooo long ago, these creatures in it like are on rampage but this one guy seems to know them or about them. They look like beetle/slug creatures and have lens type areas on them that change colour.

is the plot where its a game or something and people get stuck in the game? if so i still cant remember the name, but the one im thinking of is a little kid knows the secret of the game and helps them survive

Thats not it but I did like that movie also, Im going to watch that one as well, cheers! But it is close.....grrrr im so frustrated, as soon as someone says it I will be like 'yes' I knew that, im an idiot.

They were called NAZIs and they tried to wipe out a whole race of people who were not born with the right coloured hair, skin, eyes!
Can you beleive that a musical about a human holocost became so famous and popular because they sang the script?

Actually i think if you watch/ listen to the german version of the sound of music you will find it translates like this.....
( sung to the tune of "Do a dear a female dear....." )

Sorry that sounds cruel.... but we have "Jews" in our family that actually survived the camps and the holocost.... so i beleive i can comment on this!

hahaha i actually remember seeing this on SBS last year!

yeah something about a herd of these giant beetle things charging toward a valley and there's something about flying battleships and stuff... but i remember there being the girl with the air board and she is the only one who can stop the beetles.

i think it was an english version of a japanese cartoon, but it may have been american.
