i'll probably get some stick for this but you get that. basically me any my beautiful GF have been together for a year this weekend and because im from the country and just moved to the city i have no idea where to go in regards to nice/romantic couple things to do. up home we could go horse riding or find a secluded picnic spot etc. but what to people do in the big smoke besides the whole dinner & movie thing which is feelin pretty repetitive. so in a nut shell does anyone here have any original ideas with this dilemma?
just buy her a box of chocs and hire out a movie, if she doesnt like it show her the door
go down to elder park in the city, have a picnic their and go on one of those 2 man boats, come home make a nice dinner with candles and take the rest from their....
We got rep back, yaaay!
Haha, yeah maybe is she was a cheap as root for the week. But he is talking about the first year anniversary.
On my 1st year we just went out to dinner at a medioka joint then wandered down to the pub and had a few drinks and headed home. I don't know how special she or you for that matter want to make it, but yeah, maybe start from there? She likes fun, go go karts or bowling? (as a side part, including dinner)
write your name in burning petrol on her lawn.
LOL!write your name in burning petrol on her lawn.
nothing says "I care about you" like flaming lawn @ 3am. nothing.
Adelaide has some real good gardens to walk around in AND it's just a quick bus trip up into the hills and there's heaps of nice things to do up there
hills could be an idea. we've done it recently but im up for it again. wineries arent our thing. i was kinda thinkin what else is around besides clubs/pubs on a sat night.... i cant really think of anything, i mean i could try the whole petrol and flames thing but i dont think its going to get me far into the good books. as far as goin back to the country... we're both from complete different areas, shes from the clare valley area and i the riverland, couple of hours drive apart, guess we could just go to the woolshed lol.
My bro took his g/f to a picnic spot in the flinders rangers. He took my car, and when he returned he told how he banged her on the picnic table, then again on my backseat....I think the backseat bit was just giving me a bit of sh*t tho lol.![]()

try shiki, the japanese restaurant in the hyatt... cost like $160 for the 2 of us but definitely worth it. Maybe go down henley square if its a nice day? Or the chocolate factory at woodside? botanic gardens, errm ten pin bowling (sorry im outta ideas haha)
edit: why not go to the 'classy' bars around adelaide for some expensive c-ocktails? fumo blue, vodka bar etc... the women love that ****
hey mate first of all well done wit u n ur missus of 1 yr.. i was with my missus of 7years but we are no longer together now, Anyways if u were in melb i cuold give u plenty of mad places to go for a cuople but ur in adelaide so cant help ya. Just wanted to say well done and keep up the gd work mate
Im in the same boat as you utility, im comming up to my 4 yearer with my missus and this years got me stumped! luckily i got a call from a friend asking what we were doing for her b'day (i asked her out on her b'day), and said she could get her in for a photo shoot with the tiger cubs at Australia Zoo...sweet i thought and agreed to it (surprise thing) and now i realise i have to do better then that plus the last 3 years......may as well get the ring lol....
but will probably just get a nice big blanket, nice bottle of bubbly and some nibbly food and sit on the rocks between kings beach and shelly beach right where the waves break over the rocks (but won't get wet) and spend a few cosy hours there with a lil fire going....bit of an idea for ya if you have a beach close.
