d**khead hoons
Just thought I'd share a story with ya's...of sumfin which I just witnessed.
I came up to a roundabout, and a VN was coming through on the right, I gave way, and as he went through I guess he tried drifting it...ends up lost control, oversteered and ended up doin a 180 on the road.....luckilly the road which he was entering didn't have any traffic on it...altho the 3 other road had a few cars.....and also an undercover cop car. As I took off to go around the roundabout I noticed the cop looking at him, but then he took off and drove pretty qwik into the copshop up the road. (don't know why he didn't go straight over to him and take his licence)
The guy was a p plater, and my bro knows who he is and he's only had his P's for a few weeks I think. He's lucky there was no kerbs on the sides of the road which he was on coz he went off and onto the dirt b4 he spun around...would of been up sh*t creek without a paddle if there was kerbs.
Also a few weeks back a 17y/o was getting chased by the cops in his VP. He was at a town near by doing burnouts everywhere and on his way back into town the cops saw him and went after him....apparently he got up to 200 and he was just coming into town and went around and a bend and lost control and WACK into the pipelines on the side of the road. He didn't have a license and had been drinking.
I only heard about that one the day after it happened....then 2 weeks ago when i went into work it turns out the new work experience guy was him....he was telling me all about it, laughing like it was a joke....bloody tool. Even offered me the driveline out of his VP for $400.
I use to do a few skids here and there, but nothing like those examples. These days there's even a few cops that I wave too....one actually waved at us the other day (we first met him when he defected the PEAKN6 VK, he's a pretty good cop tho).
But yeah, just thought I would come in here and vent

I hate people like that, all they do is make all motoring enthusiasts look bad.
For the record, you'll be pleased to know that hoons in Bundy spent the weekend doing drag races in the city...260km/h down Takalvan St (which is a 60 zone)...scary stuff.

I find it abit hypocritical since you have done very similar things. The difference was your car didn't have as much power.
I never whinge about people doing burnouts, if they are blatantly a danger to other road users, i will report them tho. 90% of the time it is older drivers doing such things.

Years ago when I was on my P's (1998) I was cruising around in my parents 4WD. It was raining, I went around a roundabout at the appropriate speed, there wasn't really anybody around, but I ended up doing a 180. It scared the absolute **** out of me.
These dudes nearby were ****in themselves laughing, pricks. They had dumped oil on the roundabout. And sure enough, the next car that came through also exited the roundabout sideways.
The Wollongong boys would know which one it is, its the off camber roundabout on the south side of Wollongong train station, near the Tax Office.
Not really anything to do with hoons, but a roundabout story anyway.

Yes I do a burnout here and there (altho haven't done a real burnout in months, only wheelspin as I'm leaving somewhere thats about it), but I don't try to exceed my driving limits in areas which could harm others.
A few months ago I did something similar.....the only difference was I was on a dirt road and no one was around, was just a bit of fun going up the road and as no one was around i gave it some crap, hit 2nd and oversteered. Not like urself...the CABLE club had complaints from a few people who were at our burnout comp, and they wanted the club to pay for damages coz a black commy with 'STELTHY' plates went skitz around a corner with gravel and sprayed a heap of cars from another club. But hey that's sumfin different again.
I don't whinge about people doing burnouts either, this P plater was trying to drift a roundabout with other cars only meters from him....u might not see that as rather dangerous, but i do.
I didn't want this thread to turn into bitching, so maybe a mod should delete it or sumfin.
