Question Looking for Cheap FREIGHT Company

    G'Day Ppl,

Has anyone on here any clues for getting a Pallet, with Motor and "Bits", from Sydney to Toowoomba?

Left it a bit late in the week, eh.

    Ta anyway.

Sometimes with a pallet if you don't have to go too far, it works out cheaper to hire a ute and pick it up.

I was in the same situation recently. My bro works for a transport company so got him to ask his boss how much to take a pallet with a 253 and other bits on it to Adelaide (only bout 220k's away).....he said as long as there isn't anything overhanging, he'll do it for free. Can't argue with that aye. His boss is kool, he's even lending my bro one of the trucks and forklifts for the weekend so he can bring it round here in the morning and scrap some car bodies.

But yeah if my bro didn't work for the company.....I'd get the size and weight of the pallet (well u prolly don't need the size coz they're all the same), open the phonebook and start ringing all the transport companies in there asking for quotes.

Try mainfreight, I can't remember for sure but I think they have a service direct from sydney to toowoomba. They're not the cheapest around, but they're pretty good on customer service.
Beau Duke: Man, I'm never gonna get outta this car again. I'm gonna live in it, I'm gonna eat in it and I'm gonna make sweet love to it!
Luke Duke: You mean you're gonna make sweet love IN it.
Beau Duke: Oh no, I'm gonna have sex with it.

companys like TNT or TOLL etc dont do personal pick up and deliverys usually, you will need to find someone who owns a company that has an account with them and put it on their account. It is a hell of a lot cheaper to hire a ute and do it yourself. Freight co's will charge you through the roof because of the weight and not so much because of the dimensions

Pack & Send, Courier Services, eBay Shipping, Logistics Solutions, Freight

they're like a one off couier service, no need for an account or anything. give em a call to see if they can service you, they pick up from ur place and delivery straight to the recievers door step. i used them before and they're great!
