Right, I took my car for a drive today and after spending the first few days of owning it sorting out the tyre deflating issues it was having I went to drive home just to find the same tyre had gone flat yet again. I pulled out the spare only to discover the dealers tyre guys had just pulled off the dodgy barely roadworthy tyre I had replaced and used it as the spare. (which was flat again)
Only then did I look at the wheel they had replaced it with, and instead of a 215/60/R15 they had used a 205/60/R15. So for the last few days I have been driving around with different diameter wheels ****ing up my diff. Not only was this the wrong size, but it must have been damaged because they had put a tube in it.
I just want to know how **** heads like this can be allowed to sell cars like that. I'm gunna find out who they got the roadworthy off and if they don't have a good excuse I'm reporting them, the dealer, the tyre place, and anyone else who even looks at me the wrong way for the next few days.
Sorry about the language but just because I'm a young guy doesn't make it ok for people to do **** like this

This fella at work had 3 different size wheels on his car and the 2 he had the same wernt even on the same axle
215 and 205 is just the width of the tire. wouldnt stuff up ya diffs. but besides that.. sounds pretty dodgy. i'd be reporting them for sure.
yes but a 205/60 and a 215/60 are two different tyres sizes, giving the tyre wall height of 123 and 129
Check your contract first to see what it states about the condition of the car as you bought it. If there is nothing on there stating that you accept it as is then you can report them. Over here in WA we don't need RWC's.
More likely to scuff the tyre rather then stuff the diff tho

Was it private or dealer? Go back to the guy and ask him where it was roadworthied. Regardless of what wheels are on the car IF the car is equipped with a spare wheel it must also be roadworthy. Only problem is if the clown took it out for the roadworthy. A car can pass if there isn't a spare wheel, but will fail if there is one that isn't roadworthy. Go figure.
The other thing, your paperwork should have the roadworthy number on it, VicRoads can chase these, go and bother them and see if you can find someone there who is useful (needle in the haystack perhaps?)
Sorry, that first post was meant to say they had replaced it with a 65 profile tyre, a 205/65/R15. Not a great typo to make in a post like that.
Anyway, I got them to replace both tyres and stood by watching to make sure they did it right this time. I haven't done anything else about it since I was leaving on a camping trip early monday morning as soon as they had it fixed (which is why I havent been on here or a while).
The trip was awesome and I've calmed down a lot now, so I probably won't bother. I did get to give the dealer a piece of my mind though, which helped.

good to hear you came out the other end happy. Sucks that they try to pull this crap in the first place though...
well i handed it over to the local commodore guru today for a thorough going over and he couldn't find anything seriously wrong with it so I'm pretty happy. Just that he had never heard of the brand of tyre they had put on..."Kleba" or something like that. The symbol looks kinda like a sideways suzuki symbol. Apart from that there are just a few bushes that will need replacing next service.
