Halo 3...........Woot

well after a long wait it finally is out,

personally im a big fan of the series and have spent many hours playing it over xbox live, so this game was naturally a must to get.

Whats peoples thoughts on it so far? do you preffer it?


my first thoughts on the game is the graphics are totally amazing for a first person shooter, im not sure if its because im playing in high defention and my tv is HD but its a massive step up since number 2. defently a must play game if your a gamer.

not the biggest fan of the control set up but hey ill get use to it.

Lol, never had an xbox myself and i hate the way the nerds get so into it and play 23 hours a day...
But had a few nights at mates place with them all linked up and that sure was fun!!!
Thinking bout gettin a 360 or ps3 soon though.
Off topic but you'd prob know, what can you actually do online with the 360, just game against ppl or can u actually browse the normal web and what not too?

The graphics are amazing? Are you kidding?

Even with HD it looks exactly the same as halo 2 did. The cut scenes are alot more polished, but the in game graphics don't exactly look next gen, particle effects do but the models are still relatively low poly counts. It's a poor comparison to gears of war.

I'm about halfway into it, the gameplay and story is much more improved over halo 2, but still not as gripping as the first. The equipment and new vehicles are pretty awesome, and the flood are tougher than ever.

Online is heaps better. But for all the hype, as a whole it was a bit of a let down to be honest.

got it yesterday, graphics first rate (tho admitedly not as good as GOW as stated above), story line still good and intreuging but also as vx prophet mentioned not as fun or ingaging as the first one. def worth a look tho.

hmm not a real big fan of halo series ive played number 1 and 2, my fav is 1 that was awesome, mite go n rent out the new 1 b4 i buy it incase its crap.. off topic here but i cant wait for fifa 2008 comes out which is 2mw shud b gr8

yes your right, only took 8 hours if that over 2 nights to finish it by my self on normal and a very average ending

i havnt played gears of war alot, only a little bit at a mates a while ago so i cant quite remeber.
i reckon the quality on this is defently improved compaired to the previous 2 halos, the film clips are alot smoother and detailed, the weponary fire and explosion are also alot more realistic so to speak.

just as stated before the peoples in the missions aint improved.

but all in all i reakon its quality and worth it. hey what was halo made for? xbox live

It's always different when you play co-op story.

Playing it 1 player, normal difficulty it should take you around 8 hours, which is pretty standard playing time for a FPS. The size of the levels in this one are huge compared to previous installments. Just the normal and easy difficulties are easier than previously... Playing Heroic and Legendary are alot harder than halo 1 or 2.

IMO it is fairly good, about what i expected, i didnt have huge expectations though. The gameplay is much better and the AI is good. Just the controls **** me off, Anyone else keep throwing sheilds and **** when the go to reload? ****es me off everytime!
The flood is MUCH harder to beat 2.

All in all i recon it is a decent game worth playing

i always start on the 2nd highest level (heroic in halo), first one was done easily, Halo2 i said hmm i'll try this first off in legendary, got my arse kicked, so did it in heroic. havn't played the 3rd, but i don't care much for story lines

nah, i get frustrated at beating games easily, so i set the difficulty fairly high, and often take ages to beat it (50hours+), that way i enjoy it more

yeh for the other consoles but for xbox 360 it came out on the 28th, bloody good game too

For the record, I have no idea either, the ending was pathetic and I've replayed the final level 5 or 6 times to try and understand the damn thing.
