there were multiple raids and atleast a dozen arrests this morning when police raided multiple locations throughout NZ. they found military style firearms, and equipment. people arrested include moari and enviromental activists. there are reports that a napalm bomb of some description has been detonated deep in remote forests.
two remote townships close to the location of what was described as an "weapons training camp" deep in a forest have been under close scrutinee by armed police. police put up road blocks on all roads leading into the townships with armed police searching all vehicles and people trying to enter.
police have confirmed that they have been "monitoring" the situation since late 2006. in an apparent police oversight, they left a search warrant at a location after leaving. the search warrant was very detailed including detailed internet transactions for thousands of dollars of military style equipment.
at this stage there are unconfirmed report of specific targets but police are unwilling to comment at this time. late today a well know maori activist was up before the courts in a closed session.
the maori activist is well known for his maori soverinty claims and anti establisment views
looks like the maoris are going to try a bloody armed uprising
