Talking Monaro, GTO Coupe or Ford Mustang Cobra??

Hey guyz....need ur opinions on something...was looking at getting either a VZ Monaro, VZ GTO Coupe or a Ford Mustang Cobra. Which would u go for and why? Any other car u would recommend?

Listed below are the good and bad points i think that applies for each car.

Monaro: good-relatively cheapest of all, lowest insurance, iconic car, easiest to maintain. bad-Thirsty drinker.

GTO Coupe: good-performance car, looks nice. bad- High insurance, drinker too.

Ford Mustang Cobra (convertible): good- its a mustang, V8 sound, image, apparently it's quite fuel-efficient compared to the other 2. bad- high insurance, outdated interior, handling.

So far i've only test driven the Monaro and found it to be quite gd..if anyone has tried the GTO Coupe or Mustang..please do give ur opinions

Any other comments are also appreciated..Thanks!!

Mustang just because its a mustang
Monaro is rubbish compared to GTO in everyway except the monaro would probably have better resale.
But ultimately the mustang would be my choice out of those three cars.

HAHAHA you COULD do that but you WILL grow man cans!!

Seriously, i'd go the GTO, mustangs look crap, the GTO will holds its value exceptionally well in the coming years.

I love the look of GTO Coupes, so personally id be going that.

I'd go with the GTO, unless you were talking about a vintage 'Stang...i've never even been in either, but personally, i'm not a fan of the new Mustangs.

    Corvette would be good too.....
But im saying GTO, they just look too good, and im sure go just as well too.
Im also guessing that parts/servicing would be a lot cheaper for the monaro or gto compared to the mustang.

thanks for your comments guyz...seems like the mustang isn't such a hot favourite after all!! hehe..but i guess some ppl would still like it for the simple fact that its a mustang and all the image and history attached with it...there is a 1988 corvette going for 25k that seemed to be in a v gd condition but was jus worried about maintainance and all.. my budget is probably about 50k so won't be looking at the newer models of corvettes

you can get a damn nice later model corvette for 50K

would you consider an 89 camaro? it is at a good price and will leave you plenty of dollars for mods

well..the thing with mustangs, camaros or corvettes is that i do not really have much knowledge about them so probably maintainance would be a problem..i'm leaning more towards the gto coupe and monaro now ..will have to see how things goes with the sale of my car...but anyways..keep the comments coming!!

I would have told you to buy someone a bit better like a good replica Cobra or a GT40 but looking at the current prices I changed my mind :P

LOL. jeez i needed a good laugh. They're all bloody american you nut. Personally i'd go the mustang. The newer one. Not IRS like the holden though. IRS doen't do anything for me anyway. And they sound and go hard too. I've been in one and they are comfy to drive. Plus they don't have that "it's just another holden" or "it's still a commodore" thing about it.
